Keeping up the spirit is vital when faced with a writing project. "Surfing the Rainbow: Visualization and Chakra Balancing for Writers" is a spiritual inspiration for writers as Sue Johnson advises writers to capture their chakra, explore their potential for creativity and find their path until they hit their stride, maximizing their potential. "Surfing the Rainbow" is a must for spirituality collections, with an extra nod to writers. ~ Michael J. Carson, Midwest Book Review,www.midwestbookreview.com
Even if we take away the MB&S overtones for this book, Surfing the Rainbow still offers the writer endless possibilities for ideas merely by tapping into the concept of colour. What does a particular colour ‘say’ to you; what do you ‘see’ when a colour is mentioned in conversation? Sue Johnson has created a series of exercises to help add a vital spark to your writing such as: ‘What images does the word ‘indigo’ conjure up? Or ‘create a story about someone buying a yellow silk dress from a charity shop to wear to a party ...’ Our imagination takes over and draws on the images of colour we have stored in our brains. The author is a home study tutor for Writers’ News magazine and so her exercises can be used to inspire a writers’ group as well as the individual. We all get a but jaded from time to time and this is a fun way of getting those creative juices flowing again. ~ Suzanne Ruthven, Amazon and Goodreads
