Compelling and disturbing chronicle of what happens when ordinary people are subjected to extraordinary events ~ Fortean Times ~ Fortean Times, Review
A must-read for lovers of horror and true paranormal stories, Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest will leave all readers horrified. I admire G.L. Davies for having had the strength to work on these stories for years, because if it was difficult to read them, I don't even want to think about writing them, much less living them. Excellent research that will freeze your blood. Allan D.D - FULL REVIEW: https://tintanocturna.blogspot.com/2021/07/resena-review-haunted-horror-of.html ~ Tinta Nocturna , Review
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Yikes! When I started to read this book, I honestly had no idea that it was based on the actual happenings in a home lived in by the author. That being said....after the first few things that happened to the author, I would have left as fast as I could and never looked back. This book is written with details of Davies life inside a haunted home. It also recounts the stories of two previous tenets as well. Obviously, the other two give credence to his story. The evil in that home was beyond anything that my mind could comprehend. I did not really believe in the paranormal much but I will say that after reading three accounts by different people who stayed at different time frames certainly Has me questioning my beliefs. The author does an amazing job at giving details as well as time sequencing. I believed everything he wrote mainly because he seemed so honest but also because there were others who witnessed the evil. If you want to read a great scary “true” story, this is one you will want to read. ~ Laura Hundley (Reviewer), NetGalley
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. A gripping, no nonsense account of activity experienced by a young couple. Compelling reading that had me hooked from start to finish. Read in one sitting. ~ Nicola Barker (Reviewer), NetGalley
This is so scary! I’m very unaware when it comes to the paranormal. I’ve never experienced anything unexplainable! I just finished the book tonight and LOVED it. I can’t wait to talk about it in a video and with my friends. I’ve already told one person they had to read it. What a terrifying thing to experience! I also really enjoyed reading the various theories in the end, as well. What a great, creepy and thought-provoking book! ~ Anda Dumars ( YOUTUBE HORROR REVIEWS) , Review
Imagine. You and your partner have just bought your first house together, you move in excited for your future life ahead with all the hopes and dreams that all young couples have at the beginning of their relationship. The dream of a happy family life, maybe a kitten or a puppy too and loving, homely Christmas’s. Then imagine being terrified beyond anything you’ve ever comprehended. Scared to death twenty fours a day with no hope of ever escaping the pure hell that’s unleashing itself within your house. This is that story. I’m a big fan of horror and ghost stories, I’ve been reading them since I was about eleven years old, so it takes something pretty horrific to creep me out. This creeped me out. The writer has succeeded in writing a well researched, genuine story involving real people who experienced the horror firsthand. It is, in parts, unsettling and skin crawling but, in my opinion, one of the best factual haunting stories I’ve read. ~ Joanne Tinkler (Reviewer), NetGalley
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Fab read. Could not put down. Highly recommended to all. Believable characters. Great author. Will be watching out for more titles. ~ Georgina Phillips (Reviewer), NetGalley
This is a gripping account of an extremely haunted house in Pembrokeshire, West Wales and the torment suffered by two couples who lived there at different times during the last 30 years. They experienced shadow people, dog-headed men, horrid smells, sudden temperature drops, poltergeist activity, hideous crones, animal cruelty, incest and a great deal more unpleasantness besides. The cumulative effect places incredible strain upon each couple’s relationship, with two very different outcomes. One pair remain together, having departed the haunted house – the other couple are less fortunate. The author intelligently considers the psychological aspects of such cases, including a potential link between depression and paranormal activity. An interview-style narrative device, allowing each protagonist to describe events from their own perspective, gives additional credence to this incredible, Amityville Horror-like tale. And the frequent everyday details with which the book is peppered also help to convince: popping out to the supermarket, having a cup of tea, a pint with the lads, watching sport on TV. This is a compelling and disturbing chronicle of what happens when ordinary people are subjected to extraordinary events. ~ Christopher Josiffe, Fortean Times
The encounters with the spirit were recounted with great detail, which enabled you to truly picture the grotesque dreams and to understand how utterly chilling these experiences must have been. There were a few times I contemplated not finishing this text just because of how powerful these descriptions were as it left me slightly disturbed and anxious. This book is certainly not for the faint hearted. ~ Danielle Burgum , NetGalley
Anyone who is a fan of ghost stories based on real events is going to love this book. It’s not really a fictional narrative…more like interviews with actual previous residents of a haunted home in Wales. The second part is the actual story A Most Haunted House, which is sort of written as a fictional interview with 2 previous residents, but the author admitted later on that it was a true story he had lived through with names and details changed to keep it anonymous. The first part is an interview with a couple who contacted him later after realizing the story was about the house they had trouble with years ago. I liked the first part better, just because they lived in the house the longest and had so much more happen to them, although I can’t imagine going through what they did. The last section of the book is a collection of theories the author has researched on what could be causing what is happening at the house. I ended up reading most of this in a day, just unable to stop until I found out how they all got out of this terrible situation. Well worth the read. ~ Michelle Reeves, NetGalley
I found this book to be so well-written and extremely satisfying. I normally do not get frightened when reading but this book gave me goose bumps and had me looking over my shoulder hoping nothing was there. ~ Luvtoread Spaniel, NetGalley
I have to say I did not realise this book was a work of non fiction when I started reading it. However, I was gripped from beginning to end and particularly enjoyed the original story “A Most Haunted House” which followed on at the end. I liked the way it was set out, in interview style without the questions and the story flowed nicely from beginning to end. Genuinely creepy, this book tells us the experiences of a real couple who lived in (what they believed to be) a haunted house and how their lives were affected living there. Also of note is the authors suggested reading, should you wish to read more on the subject matter. ~ Nikki Smith, NetGalley
Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest is a scary and atmospheric read whether you're a sceptic when it comes to the paranormal or not. It's also perfect for this time of year when the nights are drawing in and getting progressively chiller. Written in the style of an interview it tells of the dark and disturbing events that took place in a house in West Wales, a house that the author has lived in and he adds his account to the narrative. Compelling and at times terrifying, don't read this in the dark! You simply cannot go wrong if what you're looking for is an intense and spooky story. ~ Lou, Reader's Retreat
So...let me start by saying I grew up watching and reading horror like other kids watched cartoons, so I have a pretty high scare threshold. I read this book on my Kindle, in the dark, whilst feeding my baby to sleep, and I found myself using the light from my Kindle to illuminate my room to keep checking there was nothing lurking in the corners! The idea that the events described in the book were all events that people lived through, in a normal everyday house, in a normal everyday place was pretty unnerving. It's written in a really accessible manner, such an easy read, and fascinating to learn about other people's experiences of the supernatural. Excellent read, would highly recommend. ~ Nadine Harris, NetGalley
I think the mark of any good paranormal investigator (or in this case, survivor. I have used this word a few times and I truly think it is fitting in this case, given how aggressive the entity/entities seemed to be in these cases) is looking for rational explanations before automatically assuming everything is a ghost. There are natural phenomena in our daily lives that could contribute to falsely getting us to believe that something was paranormal when in fact, it was not. The author details various worldly explanations, such as high EMF readings, toxic mold, radiation, and/or false memories. There are other potential culprits as well, and in many cases these are proven as the cause of one believing they had a paranormal experience. Given the intense and varied experiences, I do personally believe that this house in Wales is haunted and I highly recommend this book to those who love a good (and potentially true) scare. This book for me is just brilliant and I love the paranormal as I grew up in a haunted house and have my own experiences as well. This book just grabs you and doesn’t let go. The atmosphere of the book is not for the faint hearted and easily scared but if you are be sure to read with all the lights on. You simply cannot go wrong if what you're looking for is an intense and spooky story. ~ Billie Wichkan , NetGalley
Absolutely engrossing, completely terrifying. My stomach roiled many times at the evil nature of the entity or entities haunting this residence, attempting to destroy any humans living within, and as it turned out, any attempting to cleanse the house of its evil. There were many Lovecraftian overtones as well, including the insistence by a spiritualist that the Entity comes from beyond this Universe. The author even quotes Lovecraft's famous statement on fear. https://thehauntedreadingroom.blogspot.com/2018/12/review-haunted-horror-of-haverfordwest.html ~ Mallory Haws, Haunted Reading Room
I really enjoyed this book, was hooked on the interviews which were written in an easy to read style. I too was haunted (not to this level I hasten to add) but I, one drunken evening, decided with friends to use a ouija board…………on a mirror (finding out only later this was dangerous) which stepped up my haunting instead of finding out about the original mild ghosts, so I am so glad I didn’t release any really malevolent spirits, only playful ones however annoying their games were! I recomend you buy this book, you won’t regret it. Full review here, https://novelinsanity.wordpress.com/2018/12/08/haunted-horror-of-haverfordwest-by-g-l-davies/ ~ Jacky Montgomery, Novel Insanity
This is a Terrifying book that will stay with you long after you have read it. a fascinating haunted house book that will have you thankful its not your house. ~ Shelly Myers, NetGalley
G.L. Davies had written a book called A Most Haunted House. It was about his experiences living in a haunted house with his girlfriend. He doesn't want people to know it is about him so he uses fictitious names and just acts as if he is interviewing them. Another couple read the book and realize that they have lived in the same haunted house. They get in contact with G.L. Davies and he decides to write their story as well. So the book is about Dai and Anne's experiences in the house and then years later the experiences of G.L. Davies. This was a very good story on the hauntings of the two couples. You cannot help but compare the different experiences between the two couples. ~ Melinda Anders, NetGalley
This is a fabulous tale and one I really enjoyed reading. Set in Wales it tells of a an haunted house and the people who lived there. It really is a tale of terror and I was truly creeped out by it. It is a superbly written book and absolutely frightening. I am not really a believer of the paranormal but appreciate that others do and the author has made this a book for everyone ~ Tracy Shephard, NetGalley.
I really liked this book not only because of the overall story, but because of the realness of the characters. These people were just normal, average people who found themselves in an unspeakable situation. I could see myself a little in John, because at the beginning I also would have been excited to have a real haunting in the house, and can totally understand how this excitement could in fact turn to horror, fear, and despair. ~ Danielle Price, NetGalley
Scary and haunting prequil to a series. I found this an enjoyable book to read. It held my attention from beginning to end. Would recommend. ~ Jessyca ouye
I enjoyed this one. This was a perfect book for October. This is the story of two sets of couples who lived in the same house at different times. The couples both experienced different unusual circumstances while they lived in this house. The house had also been the scene of numerous move ins and move outs over the years. It had also simply been abandoned a few times. Several people that had previously lived at the house claimed it was haunted. I appreciate the author giving a list of reasons why these events could happen. Many of his theories have nothing to do with the paranormal. This to me made the author a reliable witness. I would like to thank the occupants of the house for sharing their stories with us. I am left to wonder how many more people have lived there since. I am also curious if the house still stands and is currently occupied. ~ Tia Dalley , NetGalley
I don't want to give away anymore than I feel I should as I believe the reader should experience what the couple does first hand. This story gave me chills while reading it and chills as I thought about it as I walked my own house at night. ~ Lisa Campbell, NetGalley
Wow, just wow. Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, this book will have you on edge from beginning to end. So G.L Davies who identifies himself as “John” really puts himself out there by telling how a malevolent home drove him and his then girlfriend apart and left them feeling empty, depressed, angry and John said even suicidal. Was it ghosts, demons, or simply bad energy? Maybe it was all of the above that created the Hell House they had once attempted to call home. I give it the 5 stars it deserves. ~ Irma Sage, Sagereads.wordpress.com
I loved this book!! It was so real it was frightening. It is like Insidious meets Paranormal Activity meets the Blair Witch Project but better!! Can't wait to go back and read the other 2 books by this author that he references in this frightening tale! Great Job G.L Davies you have a super fan in me! ~ Nicole Diskin - Educator at Greater Albany School district behavioral program, NetGalley
Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest by author G.L Davies is a spooky, intense read! A perfect book for October! Full of creepy non fiction accounts of a couples dream house gone nightmare. Told in an interview dialogue, the book reads fast paced and fun! ~ Keirstin Smith , NetGalley
This terrified me, I couldn’t put it down. ~ Lesley Ann Hillman , Horror House Wife
If you love movies including Amityville Horror, the Conjuring 2, Stranger Things (the series), and Insidious, (or if you are looking for a good scare) then I would definitely recommend this book. ~ Elizabeth Hoffmann , NetGalley
But is it true? That is the one thought that permeates all others both before commencing, during and on completion of this absorbing, deeply unsettling but at the same time thoroughly entertaining account of strange otherworldly goings on in a seemingly fairly nondescript Victorian terraced house in the South Wales town of Haverfordwest. ~ G Heard, NetGalley
When I requested this book I was unaware that it was a real life account and I also didn't know it was a prequel. This might have put me off. At first I worried it would have a "found footage" feel as it was written in an interview format. However, I continued and soon found myself drawn into the story of Anne and Dai. It resonates with me as I have lived in Wales in my misspent youth and I have also lived in a haunted house (not at the same time). I think because I have experienced living in a haunted environment the story felt authentic. I found this book genuinely creepy. I would love to know if anyone ever found more information about the spirits in this house and their origin. I thought the authors attempt at the end to provide a variety of potential reasons for the experiences other that a supernatural origin really interesting and refreshing that alternative conclusions were explored. ~ Eva Palmer, NetGalley
Crikey what a book! I loved it and couldn't put it down. It's fascinating, compelling, scary, I can't describe it any better. A must read. ~ Pauline Smith, NetGalley
Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest kept my unswerving attention from the first page to the last. I looked forward to reading it each day and night; I shared my findings with whoever would listen until at times they complained of goosebumps. When I originally found the title, through sheer luck, by looking up what I might find in the horror category, I did not realize this work is nonfiction. Honestly, that made the reading far more gripping for me. I find G.L. Davies to be a highly intelligent person/researcher and writer, and I can empathize with his doubting whether he has not been cursed by this dark house. ~ Julia Simpson-Urrutia, NetGalley
Wow! What a truly fascinating read. I am one of those people who really sits on the fence when it comes to all things supernatural. So many people I know say they have experienced something odd or ghostly and I find it all a bit creepy... I also love a good ghost story, especially around Autumn with the cold nights drawing in and this read fitted the bill. It was more in the style of an interview with 2 people, unfortunate enough to live at this house in Haverfordwest from 1989 to 1991. The awful goings on almost ruined their marriage and ultimately their lives. I also liked that the book explored that some goings on, including feeling cold spots and hearing crying, could be rationally explained. It really made me think and by the end I realised that we will never really know what the explanation is for the things these poor people experienced and we probably never will. I would love to read a third account of what happened in this house so if anyone thinks they have lived there at any point in time then get in touch with the author. 5/5 stars! ~ Grace Wand, NetGalley
This book is well written and has a good flow. It is very atmospheric, I found myself cringing, holding myself tense and grinding my teeth at some points as the story unfolds. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends but would suggest that it is probably best read with someone else in the house and during daylight, not in the dark during a storm as I did. Really spooked me. ~ Terrie Knibb, NetGalley
Very creepy retell of what happened in a haunted house when a married couple lived in it for a short period of time in the late 80's -early 90's. I am a skeptic, but that does not mean that I could not suspend belief a few times while reading about the horrifying things that happened in that house.. I recommend you read the author's own experience of the house as well. ~ Giulia Naccarato , NetGalley
I could not put this book down. I found the story to be creepy, scary and at times terrifying. ~ Jill Long, NetGalley
A creepy ghost story just right for this time of year as the nights draw in. Atmospheric and draws you into the story and the characters ~ Tracy Clarkson, NetGalley
I want to say thank you to Netgalley for the early copy of this book for me to read and review. I saw this and had to request it as it's about a small town in Wales that I grew up in....and a seriously haunted house there. This book is creepy! If you get nightmares because you read at night about haunted houses, this will do it! There are many eyewitness accounts by people who lived in the same house at different time periods. I typically do not have a problem with books like this, but there were parts that bothered me. Fair warning. Whether these accounts are true or not, it is interesting and unlike anything, I have read before. Would recommend to anyone wanting to read about a haunted house that is not your usual haunting. 4/5 ~ Angela K, Netgalley
The book is presented in the form of an interview with the couple who have lived in the haunted house, giving a sense of immediacy as everything comes directly from them. There’s a large section at the back dealing with possible explanations that I think a lot of people would find fascinating. The story itself, though, really stayed with me. Spooky stuff. 4/5 ~ Tara O, Netgalley
The book is very atmospheric, builds at an excellent - as well as suspenseful - pace with Davis knowing when to step back and let his interviewees do the talking. I found myself unexpectedly invested in Dai and Anne's story in particular as their personalities shone through in the transcript formatting, both coming across as relatable, likeable, although not really credible outside of a fictional setting. Their account of the goings on at the house is enough to put a chill down the spines of most horror fans, there is some deeply disturbing and upsetting imagery throughout. There was more than enough here to make me deeply regret not reading it during the day. 4/5 ~ Kat M, Bookseller, Netgalley
Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest by G.L. Davies in not for the faint of heart! Which I clearly am! This book is a true horror story where things REALLY did go bump in the night. Haunted is the prequel to author G.L. Davies' own experiences in a house in Haverfordwest, Wales in which he stayed and almost died in. His first book A Most Haunted House came out in 2013 and was an e-book bestseller which chronicles his paranormal experiences, depression and drinking problem while living there. After his book began to get noticed, a couple contacted him and said they had bought and lived in the same house back in 1989 and had similar experiences which nearly broke them up. After getting approval from the current owner of the house who does not actually live there, but rents it out, and under the condition that the house and street would never be divulged, Davies confirmed the information of the couple only known as Dai and Anne, and their ownership of the house in the '80's. This is their story. Their experiences in the house range from a bathroom which was so cold you could see your breath, to noises coming from different rooms which would leave one to believe there were other people in the house. There is a tall shadowy figure who seems to border on demonic who they call "The Angry Man". Their radio and TV become filled with static for no reason and voices seem to be heard when the radio has this static. There are also visions Anne has of people who they believe to have lived in the house centuries prior and are trapped there. I don't want to give away any more than I feel I should as I believe the reader should experience what the couple does first hand. This story gave me chills while reading it and chills as I thought about it as I walked my own house at night. Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest is just plain creepy! You have been forewarned! The book comes out December 1 4/5 ~ Lisa C, Netgalley
I liked the way the story was set out and really got a sense of the terror experienced by Dai and Anne. Whether you are a believer in the paranormal or not, this book is well worth a read. 5/5 ~ Melanie L, Reviewer, Netgalley
Extremely atmospheric and perfect for anyone who loves anything creepy or evil, so if you are frightened of your own shadow, better give this one a wide berth! Great read for dark, winter nights. ~ Irene Appleby, NetGalley
I have just finished reading this book. I still have chills up my spine. I liked the way the story was set out and really got a sense of the terror experienced by Dai and Anne. Whether you are a believer in the paranormal or not, this book is well worth a read. ~ Sue Blanchard, NetGalley
G L Davies. Haunted: Horror at Haverfordwest is a mesmerising account of his experience living in an allegedly haunted house in Britain. It’s one of those books once started you can’t put down and what I appreciate most about it, as well as its honesty and eloquence, is that after sharing in vivid detail his spine-chilling experience, he brainstorms ALL possible explanations, including ones which suggest the events potentially happened in his and his ex-partner’s minds. WARNING: This book is not for the faint-hearted and has been described as the most frightening ghost story ever written. If you are a fan of The Haunting of Hill House and The Woman in Black, you might want to check it out immediately, but remember when you do that this book ISN’T fiction - it actually happened. ~ Theresa Cheung- author Empower Your Inner Psychic, Review
This book is the spellbinding story of mental health and relationships destroyed by paranormal forces beyond comprehension. Within the first five pages, I couldn't believe what I was reading about the experiences of Anne and Dai. I was thoroughly surprised by the vast array of sensory manifestations that can occur with hauntings. But most surprising and frightening, perhaps, were the psychological and traumatic consequences of a haunting and how the energy and force behind it is both threatening, incomprehensible, and devastating to its victims. This was a brave book to write, and author GL Davies shares his personal experiences, as well as his investigatory acumen in examining the range of potential causes for it. To his credit, his research approach lifts the book to another level as he takes a rational look at the subject. Most importantly, he makes a convincing case for us humans to remain open to the unknown. The book was riveting for two reasons. First, it described the personal experiences of several people at the Haverfordwest house. Secondly, it was structured in an organized way that was not sensational but offered several theories for why and how hauntings such as this can occur. In addition, the author shared some unique perspectives on the link between hauntings and mental health conditions that had me thinking about this in new ways. I would be remiss, however, if I did not share one warning with readers: If you want to sleep well at night, do NOT read this book before going to bed. I made that mistake, but fortunately had no terrible nightmares of the sort described in "Haunted." Without a doubt, Haunted is a must-read book that provides a unique doorway into the paranormal. Thank you, GL Davies, for sharing your story and the stories of others. ~ Donald Altman - author of Travelers, Review
Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest is a very intriguing book, chock full of spiritual wonderment and ghostly possibilities, but you will either be of the mind to run through it in one sitting or read bite-size chapters each or every other day (it works both ways, trust me). Embedded with working theories that delve into what could have happened in the house, ranging from mould to psychological to psychedelics and, of course, never leaving the possibilities of aliens too far out of the spectrum of possibility, the book takes you slowly down rabbit holes without you even realizing! G L Davies is an author who leads the reader through a gripping account of his own personal haunting which I found to be very interesting. Through his experience, he has gained an unusual insight into what can happen to a normal person when they happen across The Paranormal. This chilling read will certainly start to worry the reader and will certainly have them looking behind them at some stage. This is a must read for those looking for explanations. As Demonologist on the TV show Most Haunted, I understand what the author went through and this book should not only make people more aware of what to them was previously unknown but make them think twice about meddling with it. ~ Fred Batt, Most Haunted - TV Series
GL Davies takes us into the real life terror of a malevolent haunting in the pages of Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest. If you have the intestinal fortitude to venture forward, your bravery will be rewarded with a great, if frightening read. I'd say go for it and pick up your copy today! ~ Jim Harold, Host of The Paranormal Podcast and Jim Harold's Campfire
This is a Terrifying read, a book that will haunt you long after you have read it. Its builds masterfully, drawing you closer and closer and then the terror hits you. This is a modern paranormal masterpiece, complete with the original A most haunted house and a must read section on explanations, this is possibly the most important paranormal account of the 21st Century. This is a haunting people will be talking about in a hundred years time and all the while they will say, I hope it didn't happen in our house. G L Davies is finally back and he has grown as a writer and investigator, this is shocking and chilling brilliance. ~ K-Town, Mysterious Radio.com
4.5 stars. This was so enjoyable from beginning to end. I loved the way the story was told, in interview type telling. I was hooked the whole way through and this is how stories should be. But did I believe what was told, as this is apparently a work of non-fiction and all? Umm, well I'm open minded, I'm not definite either way but that doesn't really matter so much. What does matter is if I enjoyed it or if I was bored and didn't like it. It was fun to read, to let myself believe it was true even if I didnt fully believe it to be. So if you go into this with an open mind, you will probably enjoy it as I did. If you think this kind of thing, haunted housed etc is a load of rubbish then dont bother with this. You wont appreciate the story told. If you are a believer, then I ask you, why are you not actually reading this right now as it is a really good book? So if you haven't guess yet, I do definitely highly recommend this. ~ Rachel McKitterick , NetGalley
If you are a paranormal investigator and have not read this book then you are not a real Paranormal Investigator. Raw, real, detailed, gritty and utterly frightening. As it includes the first book, A most haunted house, then this is the UK's most detailed and prolific modern haunting investigating over twenty years worth of evidence. There are incidents and events that still linger long after reading, things difficult to make sense of, disturbing things that will leave you with you one thought, I hope this never happens to me! The best paranormal book out there, Read it, just not before bed. ~ Nikki Davies, Lead Investigator - Devon Ghost Adventures
The courage it took to tell a story of the supernatural that drove one to the depths of depression is to be admired. G L Davies accounts are raw, real and riveting ~ Jeremy Scott, Into The Parabnormal Radio
A paralogian to the paranormal is like a theologian to theology. A paralogian should have a good understanding of paranormal history, theory, & application. It is clearly evident that G L Davies not only has a real solid understanding of the different kinds of paranormal activity & phenomena people may experience, but he also understands the impact in which that said phenomena can have on an individual's psychological well being as well as the parasociological implications for the surrounding family unit. G L Davies is a true paralogian through & through. Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest is a testament to that statement & a real pleasure to digest. I enjoyed this immensely. ~ Kevin Malek , Paranormal Historian & Ufologist; Founder Of The Northern Wisconsin Paranormal Society Ltd & Co-Host for Paraversal Universe on the LNM Radio Network.
G L Davies once again takes readers on a terrifying journey into madness and the unknown that will grip believers tightly and shake sceptics to their very core ~ Ashley Shannon, Schlock Tactics podcast
G L. Davies is up to his old tricks again in his latest book Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest. His nasty detailed and unimaginable horror scenarios will give some readers nightmares. I interviewed G. L Davies on my YouTube Show before and thoroughly enjoyed his previous work ~ Kevin Moore, The Kevin Moore Show
At Black Lotus, we pride ourselves in the exhaustive research we put into each of our episodes. Too often, people will not do the necessary legwork and research that is inherently required when investigating the paranormal. They simply parrot what others are saying and offer nothing new. This is why it was such a pleasure to discover G. L. Davies’ Haunted: Horror of Havenfordwest. Written as an interview with the previous tenants of the house in which Davies once resided, it is not your typical haunted house story. While maintaining the integrity required of such research, Davies also writes with a human compassion that is rarely found among other paranormal explorers. Amazing work! We loved it!! ~ Damian Gray & Ralph Torlucc, Black Lotus Media Productions
G L. Davies has done it again! Having experienced his previous work I can only say that “Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest” is the natural progression to the level of master in development of suspense & the building of shock & disbelief, all leading to the realization that these horrific paranormal experiences truly DO exist! ~ Kat Hobson, Paranormal Experienced Radio
G L Davies masterfully brings the terror of living in a real haunted house to life again as he returns to the Horror of Haverfordwest! ~ Jason Bland, Paranormal Soup - LNM radio
I had the pleasure of interviewing G. L Davies on my Radio Show many years ago discussing his first book and my listeners and I were left in awe, but I must say that his current book Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest also did not disappoint. It gave me chills as read it and I was unable to put it down as I was led on a journey through this very twisted Paranormal tale. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the Paranormal and this book will definitely be put on my shows "MUST READ"List. ~ Christina George, Paranormal Connections Radio Show
Few of us will ever experience the paranormal in our own home. Where a place of sanctuary becomes strange and we fear for our own sanity. G L Davies takes us on a journey through the unknown with extraordinary clarity and humility. Haunted: Horror of Haverfordwest will appeal to those interested in the paranormal, as well as those who want to know more about how such experiences can help us grow as a person. Life is for the living, not the dead. ~ Claire Elliot, The Claire Witch Files
"G L Davies is a masterful author who, once again, leads the reader through a gripping account of the paranormal. Genuinely worrying and chilling. This is a MUST read and the section on the rationale behind the haunting is worth the read alone." ~ Dave Dominguez , - Event Horizon online Radio
