Mikkel Krause Frantzen

Mikkel Krause Frantzen holds a PhD from the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen, with a dissertation on depression and contemporary culture and literature. Currently a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, his research has a twofold focus: It focuses on the psychopahtologies of the present and on the relation between finance and fiction from the 1970s onwards.

He is the author of two books in Danish ("Lars Skinnebach – en monografi" (2013) and "En fremtid uden fremtid" (2018)). His work has appeared in Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction, Journal of Austrian Studies, Studies in American Fiction, Los Angeles Review of Books and boundary2. He has translated William Burroughs’ "The Cat Inside" and Judith Butler’s "Frames of War" into Danish, and works, in addition, as a literary critic at the largest newspaper in Denmark, Politiken. He lives in Copenhagen.
