Marc James Léger is an independent scholar living in Montreal. He is also editor of Culture and Contestation in the New Century (Intellect, 2011), The Idea of the Avant Garde - And What It Means Today (Manchester UP and Left Curve, 2014) and co-editor of Zapantera Negra (Common Notions, 2017).
