Serge Beddington-Behrens
Dr. Serge Obolensky Beddington-Behrens, MA (Oxon.), Ph.D., K.O.M.L., is an Oxford-educated transpersonal psychotherapist, spiritual educator, teacher of transformation and change agent. In his mid-twenties he moved to live and work in California, cofounding the Institute for the Study of Conscious Evolution in San Francisco, during which time he also helped put on many global conferences, the most well-known being a celebratory Florence Congress of the New Age which took place in Florence in 1975. For over forty years he has had a private psychotherapy practice and has trained psychotherapists as well as having lectured, taught workshops, and run spiritual retreats all over England, Europe, America and Russia.
He has contributed over fifty articles to journals dealing with transpersonal issues and has written two books, "Awakening the Universal Heart, a Guide for Spiritual Activists", and most recently "Gateways to the Soul, Inner Work for the Outer World, published in 2020. He now lives in Mallorca but travels a great deal training people in the art of being spiritual activists. In 2000 he was awarded an Italian knighthood for services to humanity. He is married and has one young daughter.
