Alder MoonOak

Alder MoonOak was born and grew up in Miami, Florida in a Pentecostal Christian family, but he always felt like a stranger in a strange land. His early love of planetariums, Star Trek, and hippy culture set him on a life's journey to find deep spirituality, study ecospiritual philosophies, write about nature religions, and practice Paganism. He received his MA in Religion from the University of Florida in 2003 and his PhD in Religious Humanities from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2009. He serves as Priest of the Church of All Worlds and Editor of the Church's journal "Green Egg." In addition, he is Professor of Religion and Philosophy at the College of Central Florida in Ocala. He lives in Gainesville, Florida with his partner of 20 years and two cats, has three grown sons and two grandchildren, and is Founder of the Sacred Oak Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans within the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville.
