Dr Jeffrey Tipton has spent the past thirty years practicing medicine in Los Angeles in a variety of settings. He was the Medical Director of the Los Angeles American Indian Clinic, the Director of the Student Health Center at Cal State L.A., and is currently a Medical Director at United Healthcare. He is one of the few physicians in the U.S. who is board certified in both preventive medicine/public health and occupational/environmental medicine. Dr Tipton has devoted his professional life to improving the well-being of Angelenos. He served as the Project Director for Cal State L.A. based Project SAFE- a Department of Justice grant aimed at reducing violence against women; has served as a public health physician for the L.A. County Department of Health Services; has participated in environmental research while at UCLA; and has provided medical care to thousands of low-income Angelenos in a variety of settings. In addition to his work as a physician, Dr Tipton has written fifteen screenplays; contributed comedic writing to a number of publications; and is a seasoned veteran of the L.A. stand-up comedy circuit.
