Writer workspaces - snuggled in the wool

At the moment, I do most of my writing snuggled into the corner of the sofa, in my living room. I hand write first drafts, which enables me to be rather mobile. But at the moment – it being wintery – the sofa is my space of preference. Behind me, is wool from the Wool Against Weapons protest, and at my feet is my knitting – I craft when I’m thinking about what to write next and often spend afternoons alternating between the two. The skirt I'm wearing was a craft project, cut down from something larger.

Give me a proper writing desk, and I don’t do as much. Require me to borrow or make a space, and I’m a better writer. I may just be a tad perverse.
