Right then, this is the first ever Roundfire blog. We've been an imprint for just over a year now, building steadily, and the time has come to launch ourselves into the wider world. So, what can you expect from us?

We started off as a predominately spiritual fiction imprint, but have evolved into something more eclectic, covering a whole range of subjects from Ancient Egypt to modern-day New York and beyond. The common thread in our books being the great storytelling. Whatever your taste in novels, there will be something for you in Roundfire. Our writers will take you on a journey that you will remember.

This blog will feature news of upcoming titles and events, and will also feature guest articles from our authors. It may also at times include ramblings from me (Dominic C. James - Publisher)! I've been lucky enough to be associated with CI (Collective Ink) since November 2009, when they took on my novel The Reiki Man. Publishing has changed since then, and is still changing every day, but there are still writers and there are still readers, and we aim to bring the two closer to each other without the need for so many middlemen. So, writer or reader, there will be something here for you.

This month sees the release of Murder in the Palace by Iain Campbell, the first in a terrific series featuring brilliant Cretan pharmacologist Nikolas as he investigates suspicious goings on at the court of Pharaoh Ramesses II. An engaging novel, with an eye for historical detail, this is a gripping read.
