Matthias Schmelzer
Matthias Schmelzer is an economic historian, networker and climate activist. He works at the Laboratory for New Economic Ideas in Leipzig, Germany, at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and teaches at the University of Zurich. And he is active around climate justice, struggles against aviation, and degrowth. His main interests include the political economy of capitalism, social and environmental history, and altenative economics. He is author of the award-winning "The Hegemony of Growth. The OECD and the Making of the Economic Growth Paradigm", published in 2016.
