Jens Kabo

Jens Kabo

Jens Kabo is a scholar in the area of engineering education with an interest in the social dimension of engineering. Currently he works at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. Among his responsibilities is to design and teach courses at a new science teacher programme open to engineering students. Jens was awarded his PhD from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada, in 2010. He conducted his graduate research in the area of engineering education with a focus on student learning in courses that highlight the social context surrounding engineering and introduces alternative views of the profession. The title of his dissertation was “Seeing through the lens of social justice: A threshold for engineering”. This work was carried out in collaboration with Professor Caroline Baillie. Prior to Queen's Jens acquired a MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden focusing on Technical Communication.
