James Crossley

James Crossley is professor of religion and society at MF Olso and Academic Director of the Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements (CenSAMM), after previously holding posts at, e.g., the St Mary's University (2015-2022) and University of Sheffield (2005-2015), where he was professor in biblical studies. He is currently co-editor of the Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus and has published widely in the areas of historical Jesus, Christian origins, ideological criticism, and English political history, including Spectres of John Ball: The Peasants' Revolt in English Political History, 1381-2020 (Equinox, 2022). He lives in Barrow, UK.
