Claudia Vayda is a Psychologist with 20 years' experience in counselling and therapy. She has completed a MA in Psychology and a Masters in Couple and Family Therapy. She has full registration with the Australian Psychology Board and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Claudia has experience working in drug and alcohol treatment, in the education system working with adolescents and families, as well as experience working in private practice. She has a real interest in the spiritual side of the human experience and believes that those who work with people in this way should develop and maintain their own psychological clarity and self-awareness to as high a level as possible, both in order to achieve the best results with clients, and to prevent burnout. This also enhances the therapist's work with the client in these areas. She is very interested in the current direction of Psychology and Neuropsychology, with the most current research highlighting the importance of qualities and values such as compassion, acceptance and gratitude in the development and maintenance of emotional and psychological well-being.
