Charlee And The Child Angel is a children's fantasy set in the UK and Ireland. The heroine, Charlee, is an eleven-year-old girl who is heartbroken following the death of her beloved dad. She misses him terribly and doesn’t like to talk about it but when Jesse the Child Angel shows up Charlee is forced to change her mind. After all, Jesse appears to know where her dad is now and what’s more he might be able to take Charlee to meet him. However, things do not really go to plan and Charlee finds herself plunged into adventures she could never have imagined. Join with Charlee as she sets out on a magical journey where her life becomes transformed.

The plot is attractive and ingenious and the work carries a positive message that any reader, child or adult, will find uplifting. A supernatural story focused on the light makes a welcome change from the current obsession with vampires and demons, even in children’s fiction. Along with her natural style, the author’s language is well-suited to children, but never patronising, and its clarity and naturalness will also appeal to adults.
