I will say that I expected there to be more content about the Divine Feminine as a sexual being based on the book description, but it went on to break down elements of womanhood and included reference to our child and teenage selves as well. There are lots of meditation exercises throughout the book, and while I didn’t do them as I went along, I have practised a lot of them in different formats during my years of selfcare and inner healing. Soulphoria is a good book to begin your journey towards self-healing and becoming confident as a woman. It was a nice reminder for me to revisit practices that I hadn’t done for a while, and it stuck with me because I started to ask different questions about my current challenges and have already received insight through my dreams that I put down to influence from reading the book. Soulphoria may have just changed my life lol. I felt like I was on a journey while I read. I can picture a story of so many moments and feelings, it was really neat, and spiritual. I did have trouble getting passed that religious barrier that my whole life seems to be centered around, so when you spoke of cosmic energy, and the soul choosing the being, it was hard to get passed the question that came up often in my mind, which was “oh but God made us. I thought…?”. It really made me question a lot, and now I believe I will think about things much differently. I so appreciated that. It was like a moment of clarity for me to say “hey, she is right. I do not need to conform to their ways, at least not the way they want me too.” I felt incredibly enlightened and whole after reading what you went though, and it allowed me to give myself permission to live how I want too. It was amazing!! This is where it all clicked for me. I felt inspired to try and learn to let go of my past, and be ok with the decisions and moments that have already happened and have helped defined me. Part 5 was like the shining moment of revelation for me. I mean WOW! At one point in time, I thought I felt a sense of comfort for being who I thought I was meant to be… but It does not compare to how I felt after reading about what it should truly feel like to be a woman. A must read for anyone wanting to play with their feminine energy. Or reignite it. Beautifully written, there is such a flow to the words that it is an effortless read.
