I love this book. It’s full of heart. Anna takes us through her experience in dealing with her ailing mother, helping her through the last days of her life in a gentle style. She weaves this story with her journey to becoming a healer and her travels in India. As she does so she guides us through the seven chakras, explaining their function in the most depth that I have seen. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Beyond Sex and Soup is a spiritual book encouraging you to get in touch with your true nature and find the beauty in yourself. It encourages you to look beyond the negativity of fear, pain and anxiety the shrouds everyday life for most of us. The author is an established healer who cured herself of an inoperable brain tumour, so her in depth knowledge and experience in this area is vast. She uses the life and last years of her mother's life to beautifully explain the messages she is trying to portray, and other experiences of her interesting life. Many useful exercises are included and I especially liked the simple breathing exercises from her grandfather.
