Dee Wallace

Dee Wallace majored in Theater and English Education at the University of Kansas and taught a year of high school before heading to New York where she studied with famed acting coach Uta Hagen. Looking for a more intimate, in-the-moment style of acting, she migrated to Los Angeles in the mid 1970s and worked in television. A role on Lou Grant caught the eye of a casting director, which led to a choice part in the movie 10 with Dudley Moore. Her breakthrough film role was as Karen White in The Howling, followed a year later with the huge success of E.T.: The Extraterrestrial. Ms. Wallace continued to work in film and television and her career has spanned four decades with more than 100 film credits, including horror classics The Hills Have Eyes, The Howling, The Frighteners and Cujo. Her recent television roles include Grey's Anatomy, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Saving Grace and Criminal Minds. She has appeared on numerous talk shows over the years, including Oprah, The O'Reilly Factor and Good Morning America. In the 1990s Dee Wallace opened an acting studio following in the footsteps of her coach, Charles Conrad. Her approach of being in the moment, tapping into your knowingness and releasing the idea of any outcome became a bridge for spiritual expansion in both her and her students. This led to a second career as a spiritual teacher, healer and motivational speaker. In this capacity she has appeared at numerous national and international venues, including the Love and Harmony Forum in Tokyo; The Dillion Lecture Series, Unity Temple; and the Kansas Film Commission. In the fall of 2008, Dee Wallace published a book devoted to self-healing entitled Conscious Creation. She has engaged in a publicity program to promote her book including national radio programs, local and regional book signings, with anticipated talk show appearances in Los Angeles and elsewhere. She also conducts monthly workshops in L.A. to introduce people to her healing techniques and Energetic Healing seminars throughout Europe and the United States.
She lives in L.A.
