Carol A. Wilson

Carol A. Wilson received a Ph.D. in Health Education from the University of Utah and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology, awarded to her by National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). She taught more than 30 different health and psychology classes at the University of Utah, University of Virginia, UNLV, and Utah State University and was nationally and internationally recognized for her published research on premenstrual syndrome (PMS) in mothers and their first-born adolescent daughters. She published her first book, Healing Power Beyond Medicine (O-Books) in 2011. Dr. Wilson is known for her enthusiasm and credibility in the field of health, healing, and spirituality. She bridged Eastern and Western approaches to healing as Founder of Carol Wilson Organization where she facilitated workshops and taught hundreds of students in complementary and alternative approaches to medicine. She is a Vajrayana practitioner in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist tradition and has traveled extensively on pilgrimage to Bhutan, Nepal, and India. When she is not residing in Salt Lake City, Utah, and enjoying her three children, Chelsey (husband, Brian), Lindsey (husband, Peter Colby), and Colby (wife, Sarah) and nine grandchildren, Cicily, Braxton, twins Autumn and Emmet; Nyah, Taytum, twins Agnes and Oliver; and Grayson, she is teaching Academic English Writing at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) in New Delhi, India.
