Astrology has the power to take our breath away, to enchant us through the eerie synchronicities it reveals between sky events and earth events.
Life presents us all with periods that are both challenging and potentially transformative. This book shows - in intimate detail and grounded in the author's personal experience - how the outer planets can be used to help navigate and illuminate those testing times. Astrology can guide us through the deep initiatory and transformative experiences that life, if we are willing, offers us - providing an affirmation of an intuitive, non-rational means of knowing that's central to who we are as humans, but undervalued and even denied in our modern age.
Surfing the Galactic Highways is a refreshingly bold assertion of the intuitive, non-rational nature of astrological knowledge, and a thoroughgoing refutation of those who would relegate astrology to the status of a 'pseudo-science'.

The astrologer's first job is to demystify. The second is to fascinate. Through his insistence on pure craft winning, at every turn, over personal feelings or bias, Barry Goddard achieves just that. An astrological page turner. ~ Joanna Watters, author of Astrology for Today, Be Your Own Astrologer and Tarot for Today
[Barry's book] is a fascinating journey of ideas and thoughtful perspectives for anyone interested in astrology and life. He speaks from the position of being a long-experienced astrologer, sharing his insights into birth charts, counselling and also the astrology of current events and social-political trends. The author thinks for himself, yet he sheds new light on many of the ideas, conventions and poorly thought-through notions we might hold in astrology and the helping professions. One key message I like is that he advocates good old simple astrology and its depth of interpretative possibility, without needing to resort to complex astrological concepts and techniques. There's a good dose of life wisdom in this book. I found it a stimulating read. It's not one of those books that gets lost in my 'read later' pile of books. ~ Palden Jenkins, author of Living in Time, The Historical Ephemeris and Power Points in Time.
"What a wonderful read! I don’t know much about astrology but I am very interested in it and with this book, Barry Goddard makes it easy to understand and fun, yet it has a depth to it that I personally appreciate a lot and which can only come from Spirit I suppose… An honest book that very eloquently talks about the Great Mystery of life and is simultaneously profoundly down-to-earth and practical, this is just a great read for anyone who is curious (to learn more) about astrology, life itself and why we do the things we do. It clearly expresses a love for the Gods (planets), the Mother (earth) and this mysterious human journey we are all on." ~ Miranda Visser of https://soulcoachings.com/
