The mystery, magic and myth of Manannán.
The sea is a powerful, driving force for many people, a source of sustenance as well as danger. It is no surprise that Manannán, the Celtic God of the sea, should be an important figure but one who is also as ambiguous as the element he is associated with: a trickster, a magic worker, an advisor and a warrior. In this book you will get to know the many faces of Manannán, called the son of the ocean, and learn of his important place in mythology and the pivotal role he plays in many events.
'This highly intelligent but accessible book belongs on the shelves and nightstands of lovers of Celtic myth.'

Morgan Daimler's book on Manannan is a real gem for anyone interested in working with a deity connected to the sea. In a down to earth and easy manner, Daimler presents this god in clear language and with a heartfelt honesty that comes through the words on the page and settles in the heart. Each chapter is a treasure, and we not only cover the Irish aspects of this deity, but also take a look at the Welsh, Manx and Scottish associations, which are all exceedingly helpful. The ritual, meditation and prayer section makes this book truly come alive, as well as the section at the end of each chapter, entitled "Manannan in my life". Here we see up close and personal how this deity affects the life of the author, and this insight really makes this work stand out. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Daimler's work, and she is a true asset to the community. - Joanna van der Hoeven, author of "The Awen Alone: Walking the Path of the Solitary Druid" and "The Hedge Druid's Craft". ~
This book is an absolute must-have for any students of Celtic mythology or followers of Celtic spirituality. Morgan deftly picks through the tangled web of Celtic tales and pulls the threads together to weave a tapestry of this elusive yet powerful God. Combining painstaking academic research with her own experiences, she brings Manannán to life and shows not only how important he was to the Celts, but how he is still a vital and important deity even now. Beautifully written in a way that allows Morgan’s passion for her subject to shine from the page, this book is a fantastic and gorgeously detailed introduction to an otherwise often forgotten sea God, and an important part of Celtic culture and spirituality. ~ , Mabh Savage, author of A Modern Celt and Pagan Portals: Celtic Witchcraft

Morgan Daimler's many books on Celtic deities have been both well-researched and well-written. Morgan's current short volume on Manannàn is no different. Morgan offers great information on Manannàn's history and mythology, with suggestions for those wishing to honor him in different ways. The books are always an immense pleasure to read and filled with high quality material, and this volume is no exception. Highly recommended! ~ Erynn Rowan Laurie, author of Ogam: Weaving Word Wisdom
Yet another fabulous book from Morgan Daimler, you will definitely need this one in your library. With her usual flair for detail and historical fact, Morgan takes an in depth look at Manannan and his roots. She delves into the mythology and correspondences but not just from an academic viewpoint, we also get to dip into Morgan’s own personal experiences with this fascinating deity. With plenty of myths and stories to get your teeth into this book also gives some suggestions and direction to explore and connect with Manannan yourself. High recommended. ~ Rachel Patterson, author of Pagan Portals - The Cailleach, Animal Magic and Witchcraft into the Wilds
Manannán mac Lír is an enigmatic and complex god and Morgan Daimler has written the first book which brings together thoroughly researched mythology and lore balanced with personal experience and ritual.
