The journeys in this book are all ones using the mind. Guided visualisations use an interactive story to help people know themselves better, find solutions to problems and get ideas for creative projects. They can also be used as a wellbeing tool using relaxation techniques. Many guided visualisations also have spiritual aspects.
Within this book are visualisations created for those on the paths of paganism, witchcraft and earth-based spirituality. They were written to follow the Wheel of the Year, embrace the power of the moon and the elements, and develop magical wisdom. Through the pages of this book you will be guided to amazing places. It will be an adventure...

Guided visualisations are always magical in that they can take you on journeys into your subconscious to reveal hidden secrets, information or insights that can serve you well and have practical applications in life. It is so useful to have a whole range of them, of varying lengths and purposes, to dip in and out of as the mood or need takes. Although written by a ‘modern pagan witch’ these guided visualisations are easy to access by anyone of any background or belief system. This is a great resource for anyone to have in their bag or on their bookshelf and for teachers or trainers it will provide a useful tool to use with students. ~ Yvonne Ryves, author of Shaman Pathways - Web of Life, Reiki Master and Shamanic Healer
Guided visualisations are a cool spiritual tool because you can have an adventure without leaving home. Even better, journeys of the imagination (or psychic journeys) have a zero carbon-footprint! This book is packed with visualisations and activities for all seasons. It ranges from hidden things being revealed on a beach to planting seeds of love. The technique can be used for problem-solving, visioning and managing anxiety (the possibilities are limitless). Put yourself in the safe hands of a modern pagan witch and fasten your “psychic seatbelt”! ~ Imelda Almqvist, international teacher and author of three books including Natural Born Shamans: A Spiritual Toolkit for Life
Lucya’s book is a thorough and extremely engaging exploration of guided visualisation, full of beautifully written and carefully thought out ready-to-use visualisations which are appropriate for people of all abilities. She introduces the book by explaining the different categories of meditation and visualisation and explains each one thoroughly, but in a way even an absolute beginner could understand. She includes all the practical points like grounding and safety aspects, making this a complete “how to” guide as well as a volume of seasonal and purposeful visualisations. One of my favourite things about this book is the many different ways these visualisations provide to explore the imagery of nature. I think this book would be wonderful for those who rarely get time away from an urban setting, to allow them to access the healing power of nature within their own mind. Lucya gives simple to follow yet detailed instructions on how to get the most out of guided visualisations, and each one has a different and clear purpose. Themes of love, discovery, the wheel of the year and elemental power mean that everyone should be able to find something that resonates with them. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in exploring the powers of the mind, both conscious and subconscious, and for anyone who enjoys using their imagination. This is a book I will return to again and again and will use with my own students to aid them in their own visualisation experiences. ~ Mabh Savage, author of A Modern Celt, Seeking the Ancestors and Pagan Portals: Celtic Witchcraft
