Everyday Enchantments is a love letter to the magic of everyday life, the sweet moments and the profound that we often overlook in our hurry to get from one place to the next. This collection of essays reminds us to escape into the ordinary, find beauty in a simple cup of tea or rereading a beloved novel, and joyfully let our world turn upside down when synchronicity strikes in the form of wrong turns down forgotten lanes and unexpected midnight conversations with the moon. Everyday Enchantments is a study in what it means to live deliciously, joyfully, and magically. And it’s an invitation to conjure your own bliss, because, let’s face it, we could all use a little more magic in our lives.
'An insightful collection of short writings that make you look at the everyday in a whole new light.'

I have found this book immensely useful for reminding me to stop and take stock. It helps me enjoy each moment more fully, not by trying to recapture the moments in the book but by following the example of living fully in each minute and being grateful for the enchantment that flows through every second. A thoroughly wonderful book. Recommended for all. Full review at http://paganpages.org/content/2018/12/book-review-everyday-enchantments-by-maria-deblassie/ ~ Jennifer Wright, Pagan Pages
This is a lovely book of almost a hundred short stories. Each one has its own theme but the message is still the same. She reminds us to be mindful and find joy in anything you do. I love how readers are immersed into the stories as if we are experiencing it ourselves. For full review, visit: http://belladonnasbooks.com/?p=906 ~ Dawn Thomas, Belladonna's Books
I would, without a doubt, recommend this book to others. While I think this book is probably directed towards women (I haven’t researching this), it could easily read by anyone with the interest. Everyday Enchantments can be a quick read or a drawn out one if you like; I read it over the period of a month so that I could enjoy it and savor the passages. On Goodreads, I gave this book four stars for its accessibly and poignant imagery. I was really able to get into the short pieces and take some good points away, so for me that is a winner! Maria de Blassie is a tradition of her own; yet her mystical approach reminded me of two disparate female authors: Sarah ban Breatnach of SIMPLE ABUNDANCE, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes, psychotherapist and author of WOMEN WHO RUNS WITH THE WOLVES. All three auhors take different approaches, yet all three inspire readers to cast aside logic and rationale in order to seek out, find, and then apply the Truth. EVERYDAY ENCHANTMENTS need not be read front to end in one sitting. The reader who sips at one “chapter” at a time, waiting to absorb it and to put into practice any and all recommendations, is the reader who will benefit most greatly and truly absorb the teachings herein. ~ Mallory Haws, NetGalley
This is a beautifully written book, one I wanted to pick up in quiet moments and savour, These short essays, or perhaps mini meditations remind the reader to reflect on the little things in everyday life, to enjoy the beautiful everyday enchantments that every one of us has, if we choose to slow down and be open. ~ Ann T , NetGalley

Maria DeBlassie and I have never met, but after reading her new book Everyday Enchantments, I think it might have been written just for me. From the very first page, Maira DeBleassie’s words drew me in. I was not familiar with her before. I found this book as an advanced reader offering and selected simply because of the title. By page 4, I was already typing her name in Google. Who is this woman? Why have I not seen her words until now? This is a nice book, full with essays that make you think about your own life - and which small, everyday things make your life and home so beautiful. I caught myself thinking sometimes: 'I wish I could live like that - oh wait, I do in my own way!' ~ Jantine Kampes-Schimmel, GoodReads
If you want to be inspired to see the littler pleasures in everyday life then this book is for you. ~ Miriam Zink, GoodReads
I highly recommend giving it a try! The language itself soothes and whispers to the soul, though the content may not be the balm everyone needs. Medicine is only as powerful as one's need for it. ~ A. Beckert, GoodReads
This is magical poetry to meditate upon. It's exactly the sort of book I love to dive into in the later months of the year as I think about personal transformation and the new year. ~ C.R Elliot, NetGalley

I thoroughly enjoyed Everyday Enchantments. Each mini essay was a lovely meditation on the magic of ordinary moments. Whether it is the joy in a stolen moment for yourself or the meditative quality to be found in daily tasks, Everyday Enchantments is a gentle reminder to be mindful of the joy and magic that daily life is bursting with. I can easily picture myself returning again and again to this book to read an essay or two at random, whenever I need a little boost. ~ Kimberly O'Hara Nunez , NetGalley
5/5. Everyday Enchantments by Maria F. DeBlassie is not what I expected. Diving in, I expected another spell book instead it was a thing of beauty. It was a lyrical account of a witches everyday life and this is what magic is, the ability to see the magic intertwined in each and every thing we do on a day to day basis. It brought the art of mindfulness alive for me, much more so than any mindfulness textbook ever has. It was poetic and flowing, I haven't felt so touched by a book like this since Emma Restall Orr's Spirits of the Sacred Grove. If you are racing through life from experience to experience maybe slow down and read this book to revel in the beauty of the simple things. If anything this is just beautifully written and I'm sure even non witches and Pagans would find inspiration here. It brought to life the authors culture and her experiences in New Mexico, maybe not something that I have a personal connection with but the author transported me there with her. Little nuggets of magical wisdom are hidden away within the authors words if you take the time to explore. Inspirational mindfulness. Get a cup of tea, wrap yourself in a home made blanket, cast away aspirations of perfection and love life and yourself just as it is and you are. https://thewytchinghourblog.wordpress.com/2018/10/09/book-review-everyday-enchantments-by-maria-f-deblassie-2018/ ~ Eva Palmer, Once Upon The Wytching Hour Blog
To build everyday bridges between the magick and the mundane out of the long-sought and hard-won materials of will and wonder is the act of a true Priestess. In this book, DeBlassie offers rich glimpses of daily rituals, miniature spells in their own right that prompt the reader to look for the quiet divinity in their own lives, to see the subtle majesty in their day-to-day routines, and to question their perceived barriers between the modern and the mystical. ~ Danielle Dulsky, author of Woman Most Wild
Maria DeBlassie has crafted magic within the pages of her new book, Everyday Enchantments. Her eloquent words offer the ‘promise of soul replenishment’ as one traverses the journey of her -and their- metaphorical metamorphosis. Page after page, readers will experience the soothing balm of DeBlassie’s words as they encourage one to open her heart, her mind, her ear, her thoughts and her soul to the unique transpersonal book they hold in their hands. Just as DeBlassie mentions early on in Everyday Enchantments when writing of the unexpected delight of discovering a double yolk, her heartfelt writing is like ‘cradling…gold’ in one’s hands. Reading and absorbing the beauty of Maria DeBlassie’s Everyday Enchantments will have readers conjuring their own magical life. Her words will caress their soul and embrace their heart with inspiration and encouragement. Everyday Enchantments blends together poetic consciousness such as from Maya Angelou and Mary Oliver all while weaving in powerful and deep inner wisdom such as from Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Yet, Maria DeBlassie beautifully stands out given the uniqueness of Everyday Enchantments. It’s a must read and a must to be gently and lovingly held in a sacred place of honor in one’s personal library. DeBlassie’s Everyday Enchantments is like a heart song that every woman should feel. ~ , Ph.D.,The Writer’s Shaman
Reading this enchanted collection is so much more than reading a book…it’s an unearthing of things half-remembered and bringing them into the light. Gorgeous and luminous…thank you, Maria, for unwinding this spell for your readers. ~ Laura Bickle, critically-acclaimed author of Nine of Stars, Bewitching Book Tours
