An absolute must if you’re thinking of entering or re-entering the world of wicca / paganism. The down to earth humour, modern take on real pagans in the 21st century and the light heartedness of this books never detracts from the fact that the authors really know The Craft and ultimately they guide and advise with aplomb.
From “coming out of the Broom closet” to rituals and etiquette to astral projection all elements are covered in a really reader friendly manner. Easy to read language and text with lovely little pencil drawing really help the information come to life and leap from the pages to engage the reader, whatever age
Such an enjoyable book. Informative and humourous; serious and witty. This book is easy to read and answers many questions about the practice of paganism from solitary study to group ceremony. The two 'crones' have so much knowledge to share but are secure enough in their craft that they can laugh at themselves and the public perception of paganism in the modern world. This makes it even more enjoyable as it shows the real love of their path. They also tackle the serious side of guiding people towards using their own intuition where potential teachers, covens and practice are concerned. In its way, it is a serious book that doesn't take itself too seriously! one for the bookcase! ~ Colette Brown, author of Tarot From Novice to Pro in One Book,, http://coletteclairvoyant.webs.com/bookrecommendations.htm
I was bought up by Pagan parents, but not interested in anything Pagan let alone anything else possibly religious. But this book is quite insightfull, lots of info for people like me,the funny stories, I read it overnight. It's NOT the usual textbook they shoved under my nose..It's a story ifelt like they were talking TO me not AT me! How do two totally different people from different continents, apparently never met get this so right

~ C. E. Wise, Amazon ReviewThis book, written by experienced witches Kimi Ravensky and Harmonia Saille, takes over where most beginner's books end. It explains what really goes on in the world of paganism and how you can join in without looking as though you don't know what your doing .
The style of writing is light, humorous and entertaining. Even if you are a crusty crone yourself you will still enjoy reading this book and could possibly learn something from it.
A very informative book which, clearly from the humour in it is based on the experiences of the two Priestess authors. We'd certainly recommend it for anyone coming into the Craft for the first time, or has been in it for a while and does not mind laughing at themselves.
~ Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone, authors of A Witches Bible, The Witches Goddess, The Healing Craft and Progressive WitchcraftA need in a world of inflated egos and misconceptions for truth and humour, wisdom and compassion such as this book.
~ Cassandra Eason , Popular author of over 80 books on the occult including Every Woman a Witch, also dream consultant on TV progamme Big Brother.Irreverent, practical and beautifully honest, this is a magickal, indispensable guide to the pagan path. I loved it.
~ Lucy Cavendish, Australian witch and author of White Magic and other booksIt's great. It gives plenty of info to help a newcomer feel comfortable venturing into the pagan community and does so in a lighthearted way that is a delight to read.
