This books is, honestly, amazing, and this is coming from a girl who makes it her effort to collect Pagan/Women's Spirituality focused on Goddess Worship. Each chapter is broken down into months. The months are, then, broken down into deities, feast/celebration days by date/focus, goddesses, seasonal energy work, moon lore, the celtic moon calendar for that month, that month's ritual, crystals, oil blends, altar setups, mandals, and activities. I loved this book so much. I find it an immersive, intensive, amazing resource. ~ Amanda Tillman, To 1% GoodReads Reviewer
An interesting take on the 'Wheel of the Year', this looks month-by-month at the various religious deities from all around the world, such as Hindu, Celtic, Egyptian, and as the title says, concentrates on goddesses. Each month has a list of feast days, meditation ritual, spell work, crystals, essential oils and more. I particularly like that the author is British, as am I, so the recipes and references are on my wavelength! ~ Forlang, Amazon
This book can be started at any time, as well as enabling the reader to engage with the cycle of the year. The great thing about it is that this book is not only for one year, you can repeat it for as many years as you want. ~ Heather Dewhurst, Amazon
I took the Arc of the Goddess course within the Kitchen Witch School of Natural Witchery as part of my studies. I followed and honoured the Sabbats but felt intrigued into working with the seasons and the changes that each month - and indeed - each day brings within our natural world and ourselves. It also gave me a wonderful chance to work with a different Goddess each month. I waited with anticipation at the beginning of each month to see which one would come to me in meditation. Some were expected - others were new to me but each one always had an important message for me and I felt that I learnt something from each one. Preparing meals with the seasons in mind, crafting, meditating and connecting with the Goddess made this a fabulous course to do. It gave me an opportunity to look at and work closely with the Goddess, something that was relatively new to me. Each month for me brought a Goddess from a different pantheon and that inspired me to look further into that area and learn about others. Although I've finished the course, I've decided to continue working with the seasons as they happen as well as honouring the Sabbats. The Goddess for each month may stay the same for each month this year as for last year - she may change. That's what makes this wonderful course and book so awesome. It gives YOU the opportunity to work with the Goddess and discover, ultimately, the Goddess within you! ~ Vanessa, Amazon
This book is amazing! Jam packed full of information, it will appeal to both beginners and those who have already worked with the goddess! The course is amazing too! ~ Willowmmon, Amazon

Critique: An inherently fascinating, informed and informative, thoughtful and thought-provoking (and occasionally iconoclastic) read, "Arc Of The Goddess" is a unique instruction manual and guide that will be especially appreciated by serious and dedicated Metaphysical Studies students. As the wheel turns in each month of the year you embark on a personal journey on how to connect with magical energies and how to make your spiritual connections stronger. Loved the book, a mine of information together with a dash of practical folk magic and written by someone who walks the path of Mother Earth ~ Blue Fish, Amazon
This book comes from a year-long online course they developed together. Each chapter is dedicated with a theme for the month. Within each chapter, the authors explore a different goddess as they travel the wheel of the year. What I liked about this design is they included the stages of a woman along with the elements and the seasons. There is a beautiful wheel diagram, which shows how the themes are connected. The authors include nine goddesses for each month. Since nine is a goddess number, this makes sense. There are also devotions, crafts and recipes written specifically for each month. I also like the authors’ advice that you do not have to wait until January to begin the book. You can begin at any point of the year. So many books do that and when I come across one in June or July I do not really know what to do. Sometimes I put the book aside for the new year and then forget about starting it. Since this is August, I included a few examples for the month. Ixchel, Medusa and The Norns are a few of the Goddesses listed. Feast and celebration days are also listed. For example, Hecate is honored on August 13th. There is a beautifully visual meditation with the reader receiving guidance from the Goddess of August in crossing a river. There is a list of energy and spell suggestions followed by moon lore. They include an outline to create a ritual and lists of crystals, oils and crafts appropriate for the month. The recipe for August is white chocolate chip scones sounds delicious. I would recommend this book to anyone, beginner or advanced, who interested in digging deeper spiritually. The calendar and ideas in the book are easy to follow and will help keep you on track with a daily practice. http://blog.becomingbelladonna.com/2016/08/book-review-arc-of-goddess-by-rachel.html ~ Dawn Thomas, becoming BellaDonna

Genre: non-fiction, paganism, spirituality Arc of the Goddess by Rachel Patterson and Tracey Roberts is an instructional book that takes the reader through a year of journeying with the goddess. The book is divided by month and includes information on various goddesses and pagan celebrations (both ancient and modern) for each month. In addition, the authors have included ideas for spell work, altars, ritual, recipes, guided meditations, and much more. The book is written so that the reader can jump into any month to begin the year-long course without having to wait for the beginning of the year to start. The authors have extensive experience as witches, and the book was developed from an online course at the Kitchen Witch School of Witchcraft. Arc of the Goddess by Rachel Patterson and Tracey Roberts is a fantastic informational book on getting to know the goddess. The book includes great information about many different goddesses for each month, as well as including mythological information about each goddess. The book is written so that the reader can jump in at any point, so the information in some places, such as ritual, mandalas, medicine bag, and meditation beads, was exactly the same in each month/chapter. I understand why the authors wanted to make sure the information was available for each chapter; however, those sections were word for word identical. I would have liked to see concrete ideas for each month in those sections, like the authors did for other sections, such as goddess beauty, oil recipes, and energy/spell work. I really love that the authors included so many recipes in the book. There are recipes for oils/incense, food, and beauty products, which I’m looking forward to trying. Arc of the Goddess is full of great ideas and information about connecting with different goddesses throughout the year. Anyone following a pagan path, or just interested in learning about goddesses, should definitely pick up this book and give it a read. I will be using this book over the next year for the course and for many years to come as reference material. Share ~ S.M.Lowry, The Fringes Of Reality
This is a great book and there is so much that you can do with it. The authors give you so much information and ideas on using this book that it is almost overwhelming and to get the most out of it you should probably spend the whole month working thru that month's chapter.. Even then you will probably feel like you missed something and keep referring back to this title over and over. ~ Mary Ebert, NetGalley
This book is a must read if you're a spiritual person who seeks a peace of mind and comfort. This book is a hands on guide for you when in need directly or indirectly. As the planet axis move from one dimension to another each month comes with a different cycle and Arc of the Goddess teaches you how to make each month worth living for, its packed with information and dates of special occasions and events. There's so much I want to brag about, but I'll leave you with this, buy it, read it, learn it and pass it on, keep it in the family for as long as longevity permits. Love to all and all to love. Enjoy!!!!!! ~ [email protected], NetGalley
Informative guide to Goddess celebration. Concise, easy to understand. ~ Margaret Holmes via NetGalley, NetGalley
If you're into all things Pagan, you'll love this book! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect for remembering the wheel of the year and its eight festivals. How to enjoy each festival and how to engage in each festival to your depth of knowledge. The authors clearly understand how to encourage you to make the most of the festivals. ~ Carol Robinson, NetGalley
I received this book a little bit ago and couldn't put it down, I just love it. This book is a very easy read and is wonderful on getting to know and work with the goddess. I have certain ones that I call upon but while ready this book there were some that caught my eye and drew me in. This is an amazing book and Rachel is a wonderful person an author. ~ Deborah Shuler, Amazon
This book is a year-long journey with the feminine, the goddess in her forms from around the world. This book helps us to realise the goddess truly is ubiquitous around our planet. Each month the book gives you the help to feel into the time of year and how the goddess works in that season. The authors offer you lots of suggestions, practices, devotions, crafts and what I find completely delightful are the cake recipes, a lovely way to celebrate the goddess. You can work however you wish and begin at any time during the year, and I love the thought of being able to dip into it whenever I wish. All the tiem, the journey is a personal one, finding yourself and your own inner feminine and making it really helps you connect with the goddess. ~ Elen Sentier, Amazon
I recently read this handy book that takes you through a year's worth of goddess worship. Arc of the Goddess by Rachel Patterson and Tracey Roberts is a nice way to introduce yourself to a different selection of goddesses from several different traditions. Each month introduces the reader to 9 goddesses, and there is a list of festivals centered around gods and goddesses for the month. I found this really interesting, as many of the goddesses I knew very little about and I liked reading about all the different celebrations. The writers also have a monthly meditation to preform, a "beauty" ritual, and a list of monthly stone and essential oil correspondences. I think this book would be a great way to do a yearly course in goddess work, and a way to introduce yourself to different cultural celebrations. ~ Jenny K via NetGalley, Amazon, Goodreads
Arc of the Goddess is a year-long course in goddess-oriented spirituality that you can step into any time you like and follow at your own pace. The book sprung out of an online course run by Rachel Patterson and Tracey Roberts via the Kitchen Witch School of Natural Witchery, but is perfect for those who prefer to study and work alone. Each chapter covers a single month and follows the same format. It starts with details of nine goddesses the authors associate with the time of year, taken from various cultures and pantheons across the world. There's a huge variety and likely to be some goddesses you have never heard of as well as those who are well known. For example, May's goddesses are: Corn Woman: Native American goddess of sustenance Green Tara: Buddhist saviour-goddess Hera: Wife of Zeus and queen of heaven in Ancient Greece Isis: Goddess of Magic from Egypt Mawu: West African moon goddess Juno: Roman goddess of marriage Oonagh: An Irish queen of the faeries Gula: Patroness of physicians Poluknalai: Lady of the beasts from Afghanistan This is followed by a list of feast and celebration days for deities throughout the month; a guided meditation to meet one of the goddesses; details of the type of magic suitable for the time of year; the outline of a ritual you can perform as well as some moon magic; lists of crystals and herbs; altar decorations and details of things to make including incense, mandalas, spirit dolls, natural beauty products, meditation beads and food. Obviously you don't have to follow all of the suggestions each month - and in fact you could reuse Arc of the Goddess every year, trying out different things each cycle. Rachel Patterson is producing an Arc of the Goddess Oracle to accompany the book, although it isn't essential for completing the course. Arc of the Goddess would be a great companion volume to Rachel's earlier books Grimoire of a Kitchen Witch and The Art of Ritual. Her previous books also include Pagan Portals Moon Magic and A Kitchen Witch's World of Magical Plants and Herbs. ~ Lucya , http://www.badwitch.co.uk/
I’m not a Wiccan or a Pagan but I find all religions fascinating in their own way. All of them have their own beauty and my favorite part of the modern take on the pagan religions has always been the focus on the Goddess image. This book takes you through every month of the year and introduces you to Goddesses associated with that month as well as days of celebrations that occur during that month. It’s a workbook of sorts and a textbook in a way. It’s informative and interesting. I don’t know how useful it actually is to someone who is a practicing Wiccan but to me it was interesting for sure. You can buy Arc of the Goddess at your favorite book seller right now. *I received Arc of the Goddess for free in exchange for a fair and honest review* ~ Tina Edwards via NetGally, https://vexingcircumstance.wordpress.com/2016/06/29/book-review-arc-of-the-goddess-by-tracey-roberts-and-rachel-patterson/
