5 out of 5 stars: I am taking the book slow, as I find its contents helpful to reflect on. However, even the first few chapters alone have helped me so far. As adults primarily, we place a lot of labels on ourselves (with the help of the world at large) and sometimes forget our other states of being or of consciousness, such as when we were babies and had no conception of identity, or when we are asleep, or in awe. To be aware of these different states of consciousness provides a calm, powerful control for me over the state of my emotions, which Anoop elucidates throughout the book. In addition, Anoop has very concise, practical and down to earth discussions/definitions of ethereal topics such as meditation and enlightenment, among other topics. My one concern with the book is that it may go over the heads of some people who are not ready for it - such as people who are not familiar with topics such as meditation, consciousness, enlightenment. However, for people who have some familiarity with the topics discussed it will be a breath of fresh air, and very helpful and insightful. Similarly to other books such as the Power of Now, the book helps us return to our true inner selves, and not identify with our mind/external labels only. Unlike Power of Now though, Anoop explains the coexistence between thought and presence and why/how the two are to be integrated in life, not at odds with each other. ~ F. Ley, Amazon
5 out of 5 stars: I have read through this book twice and still find myself picking it up and opening up a random page for pearls of wisdom and thoughts to reflect upon. Using the framework of "dreaming," Anoop was able to guide my mind into better understanding of itself. He discusses consciousness in a way that gives you a better understanding of your true self, and can help alleviate the suffering caused by our prior programming of a "separate self." Reading this book as improved my practice of meditation. He invites you to embark on a journey of self-discovery as a way to experience this truths for yourself. ~ Babatunde O, Amazon
