Everything is a Blessing is about becoming a better and happier person. But in contrast to many quick-fix self-help books it looks to the spiritual traditions of East and West, the path of "others" rather than the path of "self". Lasting personal growth is not achieved by solving problems for our own benefit, but following a more broadminded, spiritual and longer-term approach. Through following this we can turn hard times into good times. We can transform everyday problems and the more serious challenges of life, like illness, difficult relationships and money problems, into opportunities for inner growth. Confidence comes from kindness, purpose and strength from love, inner peace from contentment. It is only by developing these qualities in ourselves that we can help solve the problems of the world. Everything is a Blessing provides you with the skills to begin this special journey.

I found this book both helpful and practical……… David believes that we are each in a unique position to change our lives and that ‘illness and other problems are only problems if we allow our minds to see them in that way.’ If we can but learn to see everything as a blessing! This book puts us well on the way to a change in attitude. It is unusual in that each chapter is prefaced by ‘what we should be able to do’ when we have read the chapter. This gives the reader a good reason for reading the chapter and a pleasant anticipation of what is to come. Each chapter ends with a useful exercise and a meditation. There is also a blank page for notes. From a practical point of view, I found it helpful that certain key passages are highlighted in bold in each chapter. ~ Elizabeth Medler, New Vision
The emphasis of this book is about understanding and appreciating the lessons we can learn from the experiences we have in the here and now. It is about changing the way we perceive our trials and tribulations, whether to do with our health, relatinoships, finances or wahtever. by altering our perspectives and expectations at will, we can control the real source of unhappiness, which is an uncontrolled mind. There are various exercises and meditations to help and there are useful summaries at the end of each chapter, as well as highlighted inspirational sentences. ~ , Pilgrim
Hard times don't hurt if we know how to transform them to our benefit. Rather than being meaningless or evil we can transform them into opportunities to develop special inner qualities. By doing so we become more whole, healthy, and happy. This book provides you with the skills to begin this special journey. This book is about becoming a bigger and better person through our hardships, it is not a quick fix self help book but tries to enlighten us by introducing us to beliefs from other cultures, both east and west. It provides you with the skills needed to begin a special journey. ~ , PlanetStarz.com

David Vennells wonder-full book 'Everything is a Blessing' shares the techniques which can allow every reader to feel blessed and bless'ed; without entrapping themselves in an inert acceptance of difficult times. Life wasn't meant to be a struggle so why make it one? Blessings comes in many disguises and so we all need to know just how to look for them. Once we can consciously acknowledge them we can surf the moment of discovery and enjoy the positivety they bring. For only once we count how truly lucky we really are can we begin to make good use of the inner strength they bring into our lives. This book will inspire, motivate and uplift, which is to coin a phrase is 'a true blessing in itself.' ~ Barbara Venn-Lever, Radio Host 'Positively Barbara' on www.myspiritradio.com.
