Miriam Kate McDonald
Miriam Kate McDonald has a BSc in Marine Biology and Ecology and over 15 years of experience within the conservation and agriculture sectors. Working and living in the Peak District, Miriam combines extensive hands-on experience across some of Britain's most beautiful landscapes with the latest scientific insights into ecology and systems science. She has integrated over a decade of practise, experimentation and observation to reach the conclusion that people and the wild are the same entity, bound together by innumerable relationships.
She created and co-directs Holistic Restoration, offering cutting edge research, consultancy and courses to facilitate the rediscovery of the ecological role of people in nature, as keystone species and ecosystem engineers. Holistic Restoration works alongside families, communities and organisations to deliver this message. She lives in Middleton, UK.
