Julie Phillips

For the past two years Julie has been Vice Chair of her local writing group, Wrekin Writers, based in Telford and is a member of the Association of Freelance Writers and the National Association of Writing groups.
She currently works as a teaching assistance in a local primary school for which she also runs an after-school creative writing club for children aged 9 -11, as well as running her own freelance writing business.
She has been one of the judges on the Wellington Town Council Short Story Competition for the past three years, and has judged the Doris Gooderson Short Story Competition for two years.
She lives in Shropshire with her husband and daughter and her general intererests are walking, photography, baking, reading and writing. She is passionate about writing groups having experienced for myself the immense good they can do for writers.
