Glynis Scrivens is a full-time writer. Her short stories have appeared in magazines and newspapers in Australia, the UK, Ireland, South Africa, the US and Scandinavia. She is a regular contributor to UK magazine Writers' Forum, and has had articles published in Pets, Steam Railway, Ireland's Own, Writing magazine and The New Writer. Her work has appeared in eight anthologies, both fiction and non-fiction. Before she began writing, she taught English literature at the University of Queensland. She lives in Australia with her family and a menagerie of pets – two dogs, a cat, ducks, hens, lorikeets and a rat called Wilbur. When she needs fresh inspiration, Glynis spends time in her beach house on the Sunshine Coast.
