David Alan Harper
Until 2019, David Harper worked for the University of Oxford for more than 30 years, finally as the Bursar for Blackfriars Hall. As well as working for 2 theological institutions, he was, for some years, the secretary of the Association of Bible College Bursars of Great Britain. David has written about Mindfulness and Christianity, which was featured as a double page centre spread in the Methodist Recorder. He has been a speaker about this topic, as Accredited Methodist Local Preacher since 1999 led services helping the congregation to explore mindfulness. He has helped to lead Mindfulness courses and retreats, and helped organise a Mindfulness drop-in for several years. His motivation is to help other Christians to some understanding of mindfulness. This book is not written as an expert or a qualified teacher, or even someone who has found all the answers, but as someone who has made progress along the road and would like to encourage others as well. He currently volunteers at the Oxfam Bookshop, Witney and is also very involved in the Witney Community Fridge and Larder
If published, he would like any royalties to go to the charity MIND.
