Adrian Hough

Adrian Hough was born in Staffordshire, England and read for a first class honours degree in Chemistry at Oxford University. He remained in Oxford to carry out research into inter-molecular forces which lead to the award of a doctorate. In 1989 trained for ordination in the Church of England as well as to read for a degree in Theology. Ordained deacon in 1992 and priest in 1993, he served as the curate of five rural parishes in the diocese of Worcester before becoming the vicar of three parishes in the same diocese. After a year in the Shetland Islands he returned to Worcester for eighteen months before moving to Exeter to work as Chaplain to The Bishop of Exeter and coordinate several other pieces of work including the training of newly ordained ministers. In 2016 he left his role as Bishop's Chaplain and is currently working in the Diocesan Mission and Pastoral Office. Adrian is married to Kathryn, a General Medical Practitioner, and they have one daughter. His other interests include photography (he is a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society), walking and travel.
