Religion (general), Spirituality
There is an exquisite diversity and beauty that can be found in the ‘Sacred Paths’ people choose to walk. This is a book that explores those paths. Women and men from a broad range of faiths, from Buddhism to Bahai, Christian to Pagan, Jewish Rabbi to Muslim, are asked five essentials questions; What Is God? What Is Faith? What Is ‘Evil’? What Is Contemplation? And finally, What Happens When We Die?
Sacred Paths is a work within the Inter-faith/Pluralism genre, tapping into the growing interest in dialogue between faiths, and an exploration of the similarities, as well as the differences, between the world’s religions.
"Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again." Joseph Campbell

Adrian Gibb’s ‘Sacred Paths’ is an invitation to strengthen our own roots while entering into a soul enhancing dialogue with people of different faiths. To see all these faiths side by side and hand in hand allows us to envision our religious personas and to glimpse the multiple faces of the Divine we all serve. In a world where religion is often depicted as the source of conflict, it is refreshing to see that there are others like us who believe, truly believe, that we are Brothers and Sisters. ~ Adelina St.Clair, author of the book The Path of the Christian Witch and founder of the Christian Pagan Fellowship
I first became acquainted with the writings of Adrian Gibb during our interactions in online interfaith forums such a Christian Pagan Fellowship or Hedge-Church. As a Christian-Pagan, Eclectic Witch and Priestess in training, I often find myself sitting on a fence looking into different directions trying to decide which path to follow. A person who mixes and blends faiths is often misunderstood and shunned in this world of absolute truths. Mr. Gibb’s writings about the limitless divine have always struck such a chord with me. In his book ‘Sacred Paths’, he begins by presenting the idea of this limitless divine spirit, one where each and every person can find a home. Panels of people from all kinds of traditions come together with their own definitions and personal truths and instead of seeing differences; we see and feel the similarities. God by whatever name we choose to use, is all to everyone. It is only we humans who seek to limit this un-limitless entity by giving it ‘truths’ and placing it into neat little defined compartments. His passion for interfaith dialog and co-operation is infectious. We can literally see a world where people live their traditions fully, but can still see the beauty and validity in others. In my opinion ‘Sacred Paths’ is a very eye-opening experience, a fascinating one, which breaks down misconceptions and opens lines of communication between all of the children of the Great Divine. ~ Danielle Moniot Beaumont is an English teacher (2nd language) living in France, Mom of four, a Christian-Pagan, Eclectic Witch and Priestess in traini
At first thought a volume composed of different answers to life’s great questions, by members of the world's great religions, could be fraught with danger. However, in the hands of Adrian Gibb, it becomes a beautiful attempt at defining the magic which is, by its very nature, indefinable, yet binds them all together. With a respectful and enquiring outlook Gibb has gathered, and contributed to, a collection that explores and illuminates the individual beliefs and sacred paths all the contributors are on. Differences are embraced, not berated, and in doing this Gibb shows more of his divine inspiration than his words can ever do. The whole may well be indefinable, but in the earnest and honest contributions in Sacred Paths we have a sense of something that is far greater than the sum of these parts. ~ Scot McPhie is a film maker, founder of Mango-a-GoGo Productions and the Writer and Director of ‘In My Image’ as well as other productions
This is an endeavour to look at religion through the telescope of a balanced view and also without pre-conceived ideas. It is the ethical value of this book. It leads us to see the ground of multi-cultural beliefs with compassion and positive transformation. To see the truth and reality, Adrian Gibb has made a remarkable effort to promote multi-cultural peace and understanding. It is what the world society needs today. ~ Ven.
