Ruth Tod

Ruth is a Quaker with long standing knowledge of Quaker history, beliefs and witness. As a progamme co-ordinator for Quaker Peace and Social Witness in London, her role involved facilitating, training and writing on peace and sustainability issues, focusing on Quaker perspectives. She has campaigned on peace and sustainability with residents' groups in her local London borough and with Quaker meetings. Alongside these activities, Ruth trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique. Her book, Positive Parenting for a Peaceful World: a practical guide for the first twelve years, was published by Gaia Press in 2005. She now lives in Henley, Oxfordshire, where she has continued to run workshops for Quakers and others on a variety of topics, including How to Speak your Truth with Empathy, Quakers and Peace, Finding Ones Gifts, Discernment for oneself and for Quaker meetings.
