During a time of crisis, we are presented with something of a fork in the road; either look within and examine ourselves, or engage in distractions and go further to sleep. This book is for those seeking deeper self-understanding, and offers several avenues for doing so, all of which are connected to the theme of going within. This a time of opportunity for men and women interested in deepening their inner work via tools such as meditation, shadow work, conscious relating, dream work, and other activities. In traversing these challenging times, let this book be your guide.

How many times have we heard the phrase “look inside of you”? In any spiritual context, no matter the faith or relationship with the universe you may have, chances are you came across it at least a hundred times, but seldom do we get to really understand what it means, asks and requires to do so. This book solves the problem for beginners like me, who want detailed instructions and expert advice. P. T. Mistlberger goes straight to the point when explaining where our “negative” feelings come from, introduces us to concepts like the Jungian Shadow, how to work with it, and explores several strategies to understand those aspects of ourselves that we tend to avoid, deny or hide, or the three at the same time. This is a healing, magical book. Short, quick to be done with, yet filled with useful information on how to be a better version of ourselves, how to deal with our feelings when a crisis comes and not lose it in the process. The changes you need to do in order to accomplish this are not easy and will put you face to face with all of the demons you’d rather not look at. It will take you into an uncomfortable path, but the path of healing rarely is. Although inspired by the present covid-19 pandemic, Resilience: Going Within in a Time of Crisis is a tool to cope with all kinds of crisis. ~ Kyler B. Warhol
5 Star rating: In this timely psychological work, transpersonal therapist and seminar leader P.T. Mistlberger presents guidelines for taking the universal inner journey at times when control feels like an illusion, compulsion and anxiety reign, when we take everything too personally and our relationships become tenuous – in other words, in times of crisis just like COVID-19. Here are tools for knowing oneself, embracing conscious relationships, facing our hidden “shadow,” and radically accepting who we really are for more adaptive coping and adjustment. Adding to our tool chest, author presents the timeless practices of meditation, retreats and dream work, particularly lucid dreaming, and describes their relevance adaptation and resilience. Sharing personal experiences, the reader is also grounded in the practical aspects of inner work, normalizing natural reactions of fear and avoidance. This book opens many doors and encourages all of us to take the inner journey seriously. ~ John C Robinson Ph.D., Amazon
5 Star rating: 'Everything is grist for the mill" - this is my favourite saying about the spiritual path. When the COVID-19 crisis hit, for many people, it felt as if their world had gotten stuck. For some, the outer chaos and uncertainty led to a quieter place, deep within. But, if you go within seeking to escape outer turmoil - surprise! There's turmoil awaiting you inside. That's why this wise guide is an essential companion to the journey into the depths. What I liked about it, is it does not prescribe one single path, but opens up several trails...shadow work, conscious relating, and even the suddenly-possibly of extended personal retreats. All explained by a master who knows the routes like the back of his hand. ~ Tim Ward, Amazon
5 Star rating: Why are we so tempted to be so defensive and withdraw from self-awareness in a time of crisis? It's tempting to focus on dealing with the immediate emergency. Yet this book convincingly demonstrates how important it is to build up our self-awareness and introspection during such troubled times. Otherwise, how can we make sure our decisions match our values and goals? As an expert in decision making, I admire the author's focus on ensuring people truly understanding themselves in order to make the best decisions. ~ Gleb 11, Amazon
