Matt Crossman

Matt Crossman has a legal background, and has worked for the last seven years in the responsible investment field, engaging with major global companies at a senior management level. He has served on the board of an NGO engaging with global companies on issues of human rights, environmental protection and corporate responsibility for the last four years. In addition, he is a trustee for LoveBristol (Release 2010, “Unputdownable” – the Bristol Festival of Literature) , an innovative urban development charity which has ambitious plans for seeing community led, holistic and creative urban redevelopment. He has completed further study in approaches to sustainable development, gaining a distinction. Recently, he has been involved in global collaborative shareholder engagements, addressing UN Global Compact conferences on corporate responsibility issues.
Matt's short but intensive experience in public debates over ethical issues combined with efforts to engage policy makers, companies and government departments in creative solutions to difficult problems gives him an excellent perspective on the common tactics used to defend the status quo. Drawing from his wide ranging experience & reading across a number of fields of study and areas of expertise, he presents easily digestible but thought provoking issue summaries and tactical guides, helping the reader feel better equipped to enter into discourse on the trickiest issues.
