Awakening the Goddess

Humanity has lost its fundamental spiritual connection with Mother Earth and her nature spirits that connect us to Gaia. Too many people believe that the material realm is the only reality there is. Too few people see our planet as a living entity with a body and soul that connects to all life through spirit. Unfortunately, corporations treat Earth as a dead lump of rock hurtling through space around our star alongside other pieces of lifeless rocks. No one is taught about the spirit of Gaia at school and religion has claimed all spiritual existence for themselves as the domain of their God in Heaven.

I was in my forties when I discovered I am a spirit with a body, through a philosophy course with the School of Economic Science, Wessex Branch in 2002. I was enlightened to learn that it was my spirit that connects me with the Earth through meditation and understanding.

First, free the mind of any preoccupation and be aware of your breath.

Be conscious of where you are now.

Feel the weight of your body in the chair.

Feel the pressure of your clothes on your skin.

Feel the air on your hands and face.

Allow your eyes to receive colour and form.

Taste what is in your mouth.

Smell what is in the air.

Let sound be received, embracing the furthest and gentlest sounds.

Rest in that great awareness for a few moments before returning to the words on this page.

The Earth has been around for about four and a half billion years, pulled together by the electromagnetic forces of atoms and gravity. She has gone through many transformations to be the existence she is today. She allows us to live here so that the spirit of what we call God can experience himself from the perspective of a physical reality. The Earth provides everything that is needed for humanity to live a comfortable existence here. Unfortunately, for some, that is not enough.

With the arrival of the Anunnaki came greed, domination and the love of power and gold. So, the question is who are the Anunnaki? Clay cuneiformtablets discovered at the end of the 19th Century in Iraq, reveal that they were born from the ‘Chaos’ that the universe was when they came to Earth 450,000 years ago at the beginning of the Stone Age as living, breathing, flesh and blood beings. Some believe the Anunnaki are aliens from outside our solar system in search for riches. Others believe they are an advanced civilisation from before the last Ice Age we know as Atlantians.A few believe the Anunnaki are from a higher dimension, a spiritual race from the fifth dimension who could inhabit a human body in order to manipulate the physical realm to their will. Perhaps they were invented by the early human priests to have control over the growing populations across the planet.Everything we know of the Anunnaki comes from the words of the priests that served them written down on in Cuneiform texts. For all we know, the priests themselves were the aliens, the Atlantians or interdimensional beings.

The texts reveal that the offspring of the Anunnaki born on Earth mated with the ‘children of men’ to produce demi-gods destined to be the Kings, Pharaohs and Emperors that would rule over the planets inhabitants, civilize them and educate them to be good workers.

Fast forward to the 1980’s AD when we were told greed was good and debt was encouraged as the divide between rich and poor grew wide. Council houses were sold and not replaced, trade unions were broken, a hole was discovered in the ozone layer and the stock market crashed. The Chernobyl nuclear reactor contaminated half of the northern hemisphere and the oil tanker Exxon Valdez spilled 40,000,000 litres of oil off the coast Alaska. In the 90’s, there were poll tax riots in London, race riots in California, the Gulf war, civil wars in the Balkans and Africa and the tanker Braer spilled 100,000,000 litres of oil off the coast of the Shetland Islands. Humanity, it seemed was out of control with no one to reign it in and it was about to get much worse. The disregard of nature and all life on the planet was enough to stir the Mother Goddess from her enchanted slumber at the beginning of the new century and began to arise in the consciousness of those who had not abandoned her and others, like me who have recently discovered her. She is the embodiment of the ‘Mother of Life’, the Sumerian/Babylonian Tiamat who was defeated at the end of the Stone Age by the Anunnaki Lord of the Universe, Marduk.

Tiamat is a force of energy that guided our hunter-gatherer ancestors to spread across her surface to experience what the world had to offer. As everyone should know, energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed into a new energy. Tiamat became Ishtar and Ereshkigal (Heaven and Hell) for the Babylonians, and Shekinah and Lilith for the Hebrews. Ishtar and Shekinah have both been described as the voice of God and the Higher Self and Ereshkigal and Lilith as the voice of Earth and the Lower Self. Ishtar is the Queen of Heaven and Ereshkigal, the Queen of the Underworld, representing life and death. The two opposing forces became separate individuals when Marduk split Tiamat in two and took her ‘Tablets of Destiny’, for himself, allowing him to order the world to his own way of thinking, a world of patriarchal domination driven by fear, deception, enchantment and addiction.

We, as a society, as children of Mother Earth need to reconnect the two halves of Tiamat, bringing Ishtar and Ereshkigal together as a single force uniting the Higher and Lower Selves once more to balance the powers of light and dark, as it was before the arrival of competing Kingdoms when the Goddess ruled supreme.

The Goddess ruled over the Earth as a loving mother would her children before what is known as the ‘Dark Night of the Soul’, when Lucifer tricked his way into the human mind and disconnecting the unity between humanity and the rest of the Universe. Lucifer = the Light Bringer = Venus = Ishtar and Ereshkigal. In philosophical terms, Lucifer represents the Ego, the part of the mind that works for the benefit only of the individual self. Once planted in the human mind, Lucifer built a barrier between the Higher Self of the spiritual realm (Shekinah) and the Lower Self of the physical realm (Lilith). Before Lucifer came between them, the human mind saw the spiritual world as real as the physical realm they lived and died in and acted accordingly under the guidance of the Goddess. They saw the connection between Heaven and Earth being replaced by priest kings who took over the roles of the messengers of Heaven and the caretakers of the spiritual realm.

The Ego separates death from life and rebirth so humanity began to see death as the end of life and something to be afraid of. With the fear of death, humanity was easier to manipulate. The people with the biggest Ego’s tend to be those in power so to plead to their ‘better’ nature will always fall on deaf ears. The Ego loves money and possessions, the materialistic side of power. They believe it gives them some sort of control over their lives, unaware that when they die, the Ego dies with the body. Protests and petitions are unlikely to change their minds because pollution and the destruction of Gaia is a fair price to pay for their own financial gain. I have protested and petitioned for good causes for the past forty years and nothing significant has changed in that time. Nuclear weapons are still being built, wars are still being fought, Africa is still starving, Whales are still in danger, vast forests are still disappearing and fertile land is still being built on etc. etc.

The Ego drives apathy in populations, wrapped up in their own struggles in their lives to consider the bigger picture our planet is facing right now. Those in power know this and are masters at playing to the fragility of the individual Ego so they can get away with pretty much doing what they like without much reprisal. They label those that complain or protest as conspiracy theorists, anti-scientific, uneducated extremists, the modern equivalent of the persecuted witch of medieval times, many who were burnt at the stake for opposing the ways of the Church. Free thinkers cannot be deceived or enchanted by the lies of those in power, therefore cannot be manipulated into the states way of thinking. They cannot be controlled by fear so become ridiculed by the press and seen as a threat to the way of life of the brainwashed subjects of the governments around the world. Beware the crazies; they speak the truth.

For humanity to be able to save and protect nature from further destruction, and therefore save ourselves and our future, we have to first look within ourselves and understand the purpose of the Ego to be able to rise above it to stop it controlling the mind. We need to reach the Higher Self to understand how the universe is connected to everything else; by harming nature, we harm ourselves. The Ego is a powerful force and it is not easy to teach it to listen to the will of the Goddess. Understand the Ego and you will understand the minds behind the politics of wealth and power, and only then can we re-educate humanity into caring and respecting the environment for the benefit of everyone.
