Magical Food - Chives (Allium schoenoprasum)

A perennial plant that is part of the onion family, the long slender green ‘tubes’ have a very oniony

taste and the purple flowers are not only pretty but edible too.
Often used in the Middle Ages to lift the spirits of those who were feeling depressed and this led to
them being used in exorcism rituals too.

A helpful ingredient to break negative habits and destructive cycles and it is also said to help protect
a person from evil temptations…I can’t vouch for that… All these properties also make it a useful
herb to bring about protection.

Grow outside your window and/or hang bunches from the ceiling to bring protection to your house.
I also read that gypsies used to tell the fortune using chives.
