Our author Donna Bryson has been having great success with her book, Home of the Brave, about a small town struggling, like many communities, with the question of how to remain vital and vibrant in the 21st century, when took on another problem altogether: that of the difficult homecoming of Iraq, Afghanistan and other war veterans.

Home of the Brave came out on 26 January and that weekend was the No. 1 new release in Amazon's military families category. Vincent Bzdek, editor-in-chief of The Gazette in Colorado Springs, says of the book: “All of us who live in communities with a large number of vets can come away from this tale inspired with ideas about reaching out to our soldiers.” Click here to read the article in the Gazette.

The book is set in Colorado but getting attention outside the state. It made Military Times's Spring Reading guide, for more information click here

Donna has also been giving book talks in various locations including Texas where she had a great review in Texas Heartbeat. You can read the article here
