Prior to retiring from teaching in 2015, Dr Paul Lloyd worked at The University of Leicester, UK. Still active in researching, writing, and presenting papers at international medical conferences such as ‘Médecine et Santé dans les Campagnes’ at Clermont-Ferrand in France, he is a renowned specialist in the history of diet, nutrition and food practices.

Although Paul Lloyd’s previous publications have been directed at an academic readership, he is now writing for a broad mainstream readership on the topic of food, health and medicine in an entertaining, informative and accessible way.
