Angela McGerr, who now describes herself as a modern mystic, spent over 30 years as a (left-brained) businesswoman before the angels showed her a need to bring a spiritual focus into her life.
In August 1999, having embarked on learning how to channel Reiki Seichem energy healing, she found her first white feather: an angelic symbol of spiritual guidance. Within two months her well-established management consulting business had all but disappeared, and (cash poor but time rich!) she had acquired a right-brain focus and become deeply immersed in research on the subject of angels. You could say she was hijacked by the angelic realm (Greek: angelos - winged messenger) and fast-tracked in the history of these Beings. In an attempt to trace their origins she was guided through many belief systems and sacred writings on the subject right back to the earliest depictions of winged figures depicted on stone in Sumeria. Then further still, to simple winged glyphs believed to be Lemurian (Pacific Land of Mu) and perhaps 25,000 years old.
Returning from that point to study how to work with angels in today’s world, she discovered that the term Angelology derives from the Essenes, and that they communed daily with angels for harmony and balance. In furtherance of this revelation she began channelling angels, and was guided to first simplify Essene Angelology and then add elements of Hermetic philosophy, in order to devise a daily discipline with the angels, suitable for the 21st Century, for healing self and life. Although they can appear in any way they wish, she believes that far from being “fluffy”, in reality they are ultra-high-vibration Light Beings whose remit is to support mankind with healing rays that are given form by Love through heart and intention. If we are prepared to commit to working with them, in accordance with their remit from the Creator they support us to first heal ourselves and then use the knowledge gained to aid others to find the angels' Way of Love & Light. Over the period of 2001 to 2009 she published nine best-selling books and card sets with Quadrille, including a highly successful angel card trilogy (still in print as of 2015); these works were also issued in many foreign translations and total sales to date exceed 900,000. Writing a new self-study series for O Books Angela hopes to attain the magical million sales!
