The challenges of examining the subjective experience of supernatural events prompted me to write this book. In these pages, I present some of my personal history with supernatural experiences and mention key people who influenced me. I talk about my earliest experiences with hypnosis, the study of consciousness, and how I evolved as a professional, as well as how I developed deeper connections to my heritage. I discuss how I improved my understanding of supernatural awareness and forged stronger connections with the universe - a universe alive with invisible beings, energies, and information that can interact with us.

I have always loved books on the supernatural, and this was no exception! It served as a welcome reminder that the world is so much bigger than what we see in front of us, and if we are open to it, we can broaden the way that we experience the Universe. In ways big and small, we brush the fabric of the supernatural daily, and Fredrick Woodard provides many examples, resources, and suggestions for tuning into those other layers of existence. ~ Marissa Fitzgerald (Reviewer), Netgalley

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Fredrick Woodard compiled a vast list of supernatural experiences from people all over for this book, "Developing Your Supernatural Awareness." Yes, there's a typo on Goodreads for the title, but throughout the book, it's "Supernatural" and not "Superconscious." I love how many examples of supernatural experiences there are. You can tell this was an experiment that lasted 20 years. Many people have no belief in the supernatural, even in the face of it happening to them personally. Far too many people submitted examples for me to give here, but suffice it to say most people experience the supernatural at some point. If there was one fault, it has more experiences listed than it does self-help exercises at the end of each chapter. As much as I love a great testimony, I also love a more in-depth study into these phenomena and how they apply to our lives. The supernatural exercises aren't limited in capability. Woodard even points out how we can travel through space and time with our experiences. Other entities or objects can interact with us. Appearances of loved ones who have passed is another occurrence for many people. Woodard goes into great depth about these happenings. It is comforting to know how many people have gone through so many similar events in their lives. When you have a gift, you have a responsibility to use that gift ethically, and Woodard points out the ethical usage of these supernatural gifts. Woodard points to 12 key factors, common threads, between these experiences. He also discusses how to deal with skeptical people. He provides a tremendous insight into why someone would be dubious and teaches you how to work with them and not take it personally. Overall, this is a brilliant book. I recommend anyone with experience in the supernatural to read it. I would recommend people who haven't had one to read it too. I believe people can gain much insight into the experiences of all the people interviewed and the exercises at the end of each chapter. ~ Heather Mc Erlean (Reviewer) , NetGalley
