A content-free approach to a structure to facilitate learning in an educational setting. This is the first book of a series and covers the overview, structure and methodology of the concept.

Imagine you’re in a room, looking at a colourful grid of many different shapes spread out on a wall. There’s something intriguing about it – something almost magical. There are triangles, circles, squares, stars. Each has something on it – a word or diagram. There’s one shape of each colour … placed in a strange formation … what could the underlying pattern be? It's as if each shape is a door or window to another world; the whole display a chocolate box for the mind – a magical carriage to take you on a journey through your imagination.

Get ready to embark on your very own Odyssey journey – a unique journey unlike any you’ve ever gone on before.

The Odyssey Grid and the related Treasure Trove series of books aim to engage participants by drawing them into a fun series of mysteries and riddles they have to solve, widening their knowledge of subject matter, and their exposure to shared heritage and cultural references.

Together, they form a visual springboard for developing wisdom through a process of co-discovery and collaborative learning.

Unlike conventional puzzle books, or compendia—which mostly contain puzzles or riddles in linear, closed forms, complete in themselves—Odyssey journeys are non-linear; have a deeper structure; and encourage participants to draw on deep levels of knowledge and awareness in order to reach goals— goals which are typically open-ended, and often defined in terms of destination, but not in terms of the final insight that will be realised once that destination is reached.
