clip_image002[2]Review for Collecting Feathers by Daniela Norris

This collection of short stories explores the themes of time, life and life after death. The ghosts of those who have left this life stalk the pages of this book, at times seeming more substantial than the living. Outside the dimension of time, they remain as they were when they died, for various reasons unable to shake off their worldly ties. Daniela Norris confidently conducts the reader around a multi-dimensional world, to locations with which she is clearly familiar, giving us food for thought while we work out which is the discarnate character! Throughout this journey she manages to uplift as well as entertain, which, for me, always ensures a most satisfying reading experience.

jhp52aad01a7c9bbReview of The Gawain Legacy by Jon Mackley

Drawn into the role of code-breaker by Will, a man bent on decoding the hidden messages in a manuscript written in Middle English, Lara is pursued by a sinister organisation. All is not what it seems in Lara's world: almost as soon as she thinks she's figured out a situation, something happens to shift her perspective. As she fights to discover who is true and who is false, revelations, both personal and Apocalyptic, come thick and fast enough to please even the most voracious reader.

Scorpio coverReview of Scorpio Moons by Helen Noble

The opening story sets the theme for this collection. It is set on an Aegean island where we meet a character whose past life itself feels like 'another country'. And it's not only the climate that's hot, but the passion that pervades the pages. Helen Noble writes with authority across a range of backdrops; there's even a glimpse into the future where women are on top! The strong women who populate these stories have much to tell us in terms of their psychological patterns and their willingness, or otherwise, to change. These powerful stories will certainly draw you into the inner lives of a selection of pretty determined women – some of whom you'll love and some you'll love to hate.

Review of Saxon by Stuart Davies

Commander Paul Saxon, leader of a specialist serial killer detection squad, is called upon to investigate an ever-growing number of seemingly random killings which might, or might not, be the work of a single perpetrator. With emotional troubles of his own, Saxon could be forgiven for losing his grip on the gruesome twists and turns he encounters, but his love of the job and the support of his assistant, D.S. Parker, sees him through to a thrilling finale. This book has a cinematic quality, the camera shifting from one vivid scene to another as the story unfolds. Add to this a strong plot and a broad cast of characters, and you have a compelling page-turner with more than a touch of class.

Review of Unusually Hot by John McGinn

John McGinn’s stories of love and lust sizzle off the page, with enough pyrotechnic passion to keep any fan of erotica more than satisfied. His vivid imagination yields a variety of extraordinary settings and circumstances, leading to twists in the tales you’d never dream of. John’s light-hearted humour and deft touch guarantees the reader as cracking a ride as the characters!

Time SphereReview of Time Sphere by Murray Morison

How many boys, on reaching their thirteenth birthday, come under attack from paranormal foes they had no idea existed? Ingénu Rhory finds himself travelling through space and time, spanning millennia in the blink of an eye, to complete the divine mission he was born to undertake, which could shape the very future of planet Earth.

Entering wormholes exposes space-time voyagers to 'exotic matter'. In Rhory's case, the exotic is in the characters he meets and the places he encounters them. With its ingenious plot and mix of attractive and not-so-attractive characters, Time Sphere, by M C Morison, adds up to a thrilling and thought-provoking tale of good versus evil.
